What’s up brothers.

I’ve ran a couple logs based on particular phases. I wanted to run one log going forward regardless on what phase I’m in. Inspired by @Jbswole40 life log. This will be similar to that. Not just training but general life bullshit and also bragging when I eventually win the @SB labs football pool 😂.

Currently about me. Working with a coach and doing a growth phase from a lean starting point. Not looking to add much BF or really go above 10%. Plan is to do a show in the late summer or early fall. So it wouldn’t be advantageous for me to add excess BF at this point.

Current PEDs for this phase are test 300, primo 300, deca 150 and 3 IUs of GH. Going slow on the food because coach wants to see how I respond. Doing carb cycling, lows days are about 1900-2000, training days about 2400-2500 and one high day around 3000 with a cheat meal thrown on top. I continued to lose weight on this even though it was more food than I had been eating. Sitting around 172.

Couple progress pics from this week, probably going classic when the time comes.

You're in good hands, motivated and starting off in a great lean condition. Body will soak up the gradual calorie increase. However, you'll definitely be going over 10% as you're pretty much there right now, but that's totally normal and Kurt knows how to manipulate body comp. Perfect starting point for small off-season. I'd wish you luck but you're going to nail it!

I had a dexa a couple weeks ago and it said I was 7%. Do you find them to not be that accurate?

Look fantastic brother 💪 lets go!

BUNK GEAR 😆

No :)

Example: I had one done 7 weeks out from my last show and said I was 3.7% - I went on to lose about 10 more pounds which was mostly fat, so I would officially be dead. lol I see dexa's all the time from my clients and they are all over the place. Depends on how much water is in your body, time of day, last few days of digestion, etc. It's good for consistency to progress over time as is weighing yourself as a tool. When I worked with the Islanders when I was younger we did hydrostatic weighing and that was the most accurate by far.

I love ya man, but you're not 7% :) You and Kurt will probably hit the stage around 5ish and you will drop a ton of weight to hit that.

Thanks for the feedback man. I got it done out of curiosity and to see what the LBM was more so than the BF number. Idea being I could get another one in a year and compare how much LBM was added. Everything you said makes perfect sense.

The way you're using it as another tool to gauge progress is 100% on point!

You can obviously use the eyeball test and compare different pictures at similar weights but I like concrete data. I’m sure you can appreciate that 😂
Totally appreciate that. The combination of weekly update pics, daily weigh-ins, calipers/dexa's, lifts to measure strength, etc are all important. The more variables and data you can collect...the better. The end of the day though it's how you look as that's all they see when you're on stage...nothing else matters.

Exactly, got to have the right “look”. We will get there for sure

good afternoon everybody!

Another week down and dropped another two pounds on average for the week! This is not how I anticipated this growth phase to go but coach wants to do one more week on these macros and then adjust. I will trust the process but I can tell I’m going to need more food. The strength on more lifts is starting to go down over the last few weeks buts it’s all good. But a good ham/glute session yesterday and continue to be impressed with the increased vascularity.

I hope everybody has a great Christmas. This time of year can be tough for a lot of people. It’s not the same for me as in years past but with my daughter around I try to focus on creating new traditions to make it special.

I have a shit ton of baking to do today. I’ll post up some pics later but hopefully I don’t eat it all considering I’m on my high carb day today 😂

I hope you have a great Christmas

Good morning brothers,

I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas, I certainly did. Maybe a little too much. Ate like a complete asshole. To the point I was in pain. I have never experienced so much bloat and pain in my stomach. To the point I had to increase my telmisartan to 80mg for a couple days to keep that shit under control. Weight jumped 10 pounds in two days. Got back on plan the day after and I’m back down 5 pounds. Backed the telmisartan down to 40mg and the BP is normalized on that. Crazy thing to me is maintaining that lean look.

Had a call with coach last night and we are going to bump the carbs up. Low days 140g, training days 425g and high day is 600g. I do one high day as of now. Mentally I’m excited for this, I’m ready to grow and training was starting to take a hit.

For any of you with kids, what was the big gift this year. I have a 10 year old daughter who is obsessed with these things called mini brands. Basically they are detailed food items that are miniature. For example, a box of lucky charms that looks small in a 10 year olds hand. I don’t get it but I’m sure my parents said the same thing 😂

At least your glycogen stores are full! :)

Crush it this week homie.
They certainly are. After I got off the phone with Kurt and he said to go to 425 on training days, I promptly ate 100 grams of sour patch kids 😂 I’m ready for this bump
