Cybersecurity researcher Jeremiah Fowler discovered an unprotected online database in May, exposing over 184 million records — including email addresses, passwords and login links — stored in plain text. The leaked data is tied to major platforms like Apple, Google, Facebook and Microsoft along with government and financial services.

Ironic..grocery store near me told me their supplier had a data breach. It affected most major retailers.. Whole Food, fresh market, sprouts, target etc..

"Who would target Securenym (and its users)?
Those who might target users of a secure email service like Securenym would likely be interested in accessing sensitive or confidential information that users seek to protect. This could include:
Governments or surveillance agencies: Who might attempt to monitor communications for various reasons, including law enforcement or intelligence gathering."

Its all 🤣 until its not. 😶

I guess anyone with issues could try the "but Fletcher is a "Conspiracy Theorist." " defense in court. 🤷 might work? 🤷🤷🤷

I'll put this out there for people who consider facts... as a cybersec service agent, if you ever attempt to access your gmail, yahoomail, proton, tutanota or any other supposedly "encrypted" or "protected" account and your access is denied, somebody with LE clearance is in your ass. If thats the case, they also are actively keystroke logging you and "VPNs" dont do shit if the NSA tools are being "borrowed" by any Federal, State, or Local agency for an official purpose.

But wtf do I know right? I'm just a tattoed meat-head with a tin-foil hat one. 🤷

Get out of dollars this year too, stocks, bonds, T-Bills etc... the $30T+ Pension-fund ponzi scheme is about to fail and the bail-out via printed "money" is only going to drasticallly devalue USD another 70-90%.
Gold, Silver... sell it soon, convert those gains into physically held goods.
When the Digital Beast-System of 2030 kicks in, if aint in your hand, it aint yours.
This govt has out-lawed Gold in the past (1930s) and that will happen again.
No grocery store is gonna allow you to pay in USM Eagles or anything except the Biometric Verified DIGITAL BS ⚠️

And not for nothing, told everyone...

A bipartisan group of congressional lawmakers is calling on the Trump administration to address the continued sale of illicit, compounded GLP-1 products, warning that consumers may be accessing these drugs without knowing the product could be fraudulent.

Lots of breaches each and every day. Made worse now with AI tools. (I manage 350 firewalls for a global corp) so yes, battling this 24x7.
We had a breach (last year) where the FW wasnt compromised, but hackers got in via a Windows Admins credentials they got from the dark-web.
They simply logged in as him, and ran tools that locked most of the VM's in the company (ransomware). With his admin level of access, they had free reign.
Was an insane 4-6 months of rebuilding, and totally getting them out of our Network.
(Of course the domain controllers being locked was the worse thing) along with data extraction, exporting all user accounts, all that fun stuff.

So a simple thing like a users password getting out, can wreak lots of havoc. Human error and social engineering are the worst culprits.

Then there are cases like other companies being hacked, but there are IPSEC tunnels back to us with limited access. That access can aslo be exploited to get into our network from theirs.
So yes, dangerous out there.

This site should tighten up a bit. (Dont post touchdown pics, etc). Your IP (if not using a vpn) is a path to your front door, with you showing the felony you committed,
and a pic of the goods inside your place.

VPN's arent totally safe either, those companies have been raided, with warrants to turn over logs, records, users, etc...
Be careful.. Be paranoid...

Well god damn.. Thanks Rot.. I’ll change my passwords and delete some accounts.

Hey Fletch my man, I don’t know if you know this, but IronRage is NOT my real name. I think I’m good bro.

I'm pretty amused the journalist thinks it's alarming. There is a lot more out there, not to mention more significant leaks than personal details...

As for vpns, use a nolog vpn over onion or simply use tor with the proper settings, and tracking you becomes way too expensive unless you are particularly interesting.

Keyloggers don't magically appear in your system, you usually have to let them in yourself.

Of course, if someone with the right skills (and resources) really wants to get to you, you're basically screwed - but in practice it doesn't take all that much to be relatively safe since the cost and effort isn't worth the reward.

Not reusing passwords all over the internet is a good start if you want to avoid getting randomly targeted.

Unless you are a target, there is no need to be paranoid, just follow best practice.

I wish I would have got the memo that said we could use pseudonyms prior to making an account. ☹️

everything digital is tracked and recorded, once AI gets a hold of all the recorded data the NSA has and is able to sift thru it it the true dystopia will begin

Luckily it's not that easy, requires too much processing power to do that.

We’re on the brink of (super) semi conductors operating at room temp.

Won’t be long now. And with our drone tech combined.

Shits about to get seriously cooked out here.

Many users believe their online activities are fully protected, Check here but in reality, internet security often has hidden vulnerabilities. Understanding these risks and adopting strong practices like encryption, two-factor authentication, and cautious browsing is essential to truly safeguard personal data.
