Most overrated compound for cutting?

Everyone always talks about Mast, Primo, Var, etc., but what do you guys think is the most overrated cutting compound?

Seen a lot of mixed opinions lately—some swear by certain compounds while others say diet does 90% of the work.

Curious what’s actually lived up to the hype vs what didn’t for you
 
Diet is definitely the foundation, no doubt. But compounds can make a big difference in how you look while cutting, holding muscle, fullness, and recovery. It’s not either/or, it’s both.”
 
Diet’s always the driver, no argument there. But saying compounds don’t move the needle at all isn’t really accurate either—muscle retention, recovery, and overall look definitely change
 
I don’t think there’s any overrated compounds during a cut. Now I wouldn’t call them “cutting” compounds per se, but I’m sure we all understand your post. They all do what they’re supposed to imo. My personal favorites are Winstrol, Tren, Mast for purposes beyond cutting, but the actual look/tissue retention and what not. For actual cutting DNP and Clenbuterol at the top of my list.
 
Solid take. I agree there’s really no such thing as a ‘cutting compound,’ it’s more about diet and deficit. The compounds just help with look, hardness, and holding onto muscle. I will say though, DNP is a different animal altogether lol—not something most people should even mess with. Clen I get, but even that’s hit or miss depending on
 
Controversial take BUT…

DNP and low dose HGH are overrated IMO.

DNP not because it isn’t effective, but it’s too effective and it’s fucking awful and the risk is so fucking high. And I’ve run that shit from 100mg a day to 800 a day.

You will feel like death. You will be winded from talking. I literally woke up sweating with it being so cold there was ice on my windows (and I had my window open and fan on). You will drop a fuck ton of weight. Especially when you stop and drop the excess water weight that you get…

But for the duration your basically fucked for anything and even eating is miserable (I specifically remember watching my sweat drip off my face into my food because even eating made me sweat). Plus if you fuck up your dosing you can kill yourself and due to the half life it can be fairly easy. Also it’s real easy to burn off all the muscle you gained from the nausea and fatigue (hard to eat when you sleep most of the day and get winded trying to go downstairs to cook)



HGH I specifically say low dose because it takes so long to really notice anything solid. i feel like anything that needs to be run for months on end to “really get results” is overrated. However. If you’re going to run that shit high the it’s fucking wild what it can do. I ate like shit, didn’t train (only did physical therapy due to a car accident) and wound up going from 210-180 and had visible abs. But I had a LOT of money to blow and thought high dose GH would help heal my hip and prevent me having surgery (which doctors said would have kept me from running and squatting permanently)

That was my first thought. The nutrient partitioning effects alone are insane.

And honestly Reta has me eating more calories but recomping. Diet is still clean but macros are up and it’s a night and day difference.

If my diet was 100% shit I’d still look like shit but upping clean calories by 500 calories and seeing the scale go down is definitely a compound

Ya I've seen too many retards at my gym with awful diets, heavy drinking, partying etc. and still just completely mutate on 500mg tren losing fat and gaining muscle at the same time.

For overrated I would say primo or mast. I'm not sure if they contribute to fat loss at all. Incredible cosmetic benefits but its not acting on your bf% just changing the look of your muscle and skin

On top of that, dosing is risky—if you get it wrong, it can be dangerous, even fatal, especially given the long half-life.
 
I don't think any are overrated or underrated.
It's just a matter of timing and picking the right tool for the job.

Most of them won't do much if you're aren't in a true deficit anyway.

Under 10% start thinking about mast, anavar, Winnie, clen, tren and maybe a glp like triz with a short half life.

Over 30% use glps.
In between 10 and 30 just eat less bro.
