Ok, I’ll admit it—when I first started, I had no clue what I was doing. I still have a ton left to learn. I’m extremely thankful I found a forum with so many knowledgeable veterans willing to help guys like me avoid making bad decisions. That alone is worth so much.

If you need proof of how lost I was, my old, sad excuse for a log can be found here.

To that end, I reached out to @Meetketchup and thankfully he agreed to take me on as a client. I’ve been working with him for one month now, and I’m honestly amazed at the difference already.

Growing up as the skinny kid who was always told to “put some meat on your bones,” I assumed I needed to bulk right away—but Ketchup knew differently. He immediately went to cutting. Even after dropping 7 pounds, my body looks noticeably better in the mirror. For someone who’s always wanted to gain weight, watching the scale go down day after day is definitely scary, but I 100% believe in the process and I can’t wait to see what’s ahead.

One of my New Year’s resolutions was to be in the best shape of my life before I turn 40. I’m well on my way, and honestly, I feel like I may already be there.

I have no plans to compete at this time. This log is strictly for accountability, personal progress, and encouragement.

The picture below was taken in March, when my PCP put me on TRT and I decided to treat this as a second chance to get serious and finally build the body I’ve never had before.

The comparison pic below is when Ketchup took over (left) and today (right). Starting weight with Ketchup was 146. I’m currently at 139.8 and falling.

Current Macros:
Lift Days: 1,945 kcal / 185p / 200c / 45f
Rest Days: 1,745 kcal / 185p / 150c / 45f

I am currently doing an Upper, Lower, Pull, Push, Lower split with cardio 5x a week on my lift days.

TRT is 200mg/week. I was injecting 2x weekly but just last week switched that over to 4x weekly (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday). I had all new lab panels pulled last week before I switched my schedule and those are pending.

I’m still early in this journey, but the changes I’ve seen so far keep me focused and disciplined. This log isn’t about competing or showing off—it’s about holding myself accountable and improving steadily. One thing I’ve learned is that when the veterans tell you to cut, you cut—even if it goes against what you thought you needed. I’m grateful for the guidance I’ve received here and for having someone like Ketchup to keep me on track. I hope sharing my journey can offer perspective to others starting out, and I look forward to continuing to learn and make consistent progress.
