As the title says, can tirzepatide lower ldl even before a person has lost weight? My friend began tirzepatide at 3mg per week a couple weeks ago, and just got blood work a few days ago. Her ldl came back even better than last year, even though she was in better shape last year. She's a little heavier this year because of surgery and not being able to work out for awhile plus depression that went along with it had her eating more junk food than she really does, and yet her cholesterol is even better now, even though she's up a few pounds and hasn't been strict with her diet, like she was last year.
She hasn't lost weight yet from the Tirz because it's only been a couple weeks, so the ldl improvement can't be from weight loss yet. The only thing different from last year is the use of tirzepatide.
I haven't find anything saying it can lower ldl by itself, so I was wondering if any of you have noticed a cholesterol improvement with it, even if you haven't lost weight yet?
It's more of a curiosity now. She will lose weight still. We're just trying to figure out how her bloodwork is better while now being as disciplined.
Thanks.
