I just started trt in sept, I use an on line trt dr. But it’s very expensive , Id like to just deal with my own bloodwork but what labs should I get, I see the package labs, I have gone to lab corp a couple times for this on line clinic, for those that self trt what tests do you order and from where? I’m sure it’s been discussed and I’ve done searches but I’m still a little confused.

Order online. There are numerous options depending on where you live. Order online, pick a lab closet to you, get the results. Pretty easy. Here are a couple of threads to help get you started. I personally use Privatemdlabs.com

I just need to know what labs to order, I see all types of bundles , and à la carte? That where I needed guidance .
For TRT only, this is pretty standard

Total Test
Free Test
E2 Ultra sensitive
Lipids
Hemacrit/Hemaglobin

Alot of people will pull this as a minimum and then pull a more comprehensive panel every 6 months or so. Personally, I do "a la carte." Sometimes online places have a TRT (Male Hormone) Panel or a Bodybuilder Panel which is more comprehensive.

And what about liver health?
Yes, I would say liver health is important. Like I said, initially I would pull a comprehensive panel to include things like Alt/Ast when you first start but unless you are running oral steroids, or heavy weight injectables, basic TRT isnt going to affect liver. This is why the question of "What to check" really depends on you and what you want to know about. Some people pull a minimum panel every few months, some pull a full panel every few months. Some dips shits never pull bloodwork, but dont be a dipshit. 🤣

If others chime in, youll probably get a very different opinion from everyone. Testing is very user specific.

I did accidentally forget PSA and SHBG as a couple of items to check regularly.

Maybe add a Lipid panel, they don’t cost much if I remember correctly.

The biggest plus of having a script is you can travel with your test. I have a decent PCP so the only hassle for me is CVS fucks up my script nearly every month.
Walgreens has been mostly good for me, only thing they do that irritates me is they might give me those tiny one ML vials , instead of the 10 ml .

I have a prescription through the online clinic, they mail me four 5 ml vials of 200 for $1500. Then $400 for the doc for a year and $200 blood work. So….

Yikes! That is expensive, take a look at HelloGoodlabs.

They persribed sermorlin tabs for $1100 for $90 pills. I can’t afford to travel paying for all this, maybe I should get a different clinic after my six months is up?
