In the speech, he specifically mentioned that American pilots and crew taking part in offensive operations in Ukraine would cause WW3. However, if we send in American tanks and let Ukranians drive them, then it's ok (sarcasm). Personally, it would be interesting to see Russian armor vs US/NATO armor in battle.
