MODIFINIL(Provigal) vs. ARMODIFINIL(Nuvigal)
•Modafinil is a wakefulness-promoting drug used to treat excessive sleepiness due to narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea, or shift work sleep disorder. Sometimes it is used off-label as a cognitive enhancer. Modafinil's exact mechanism is unclear, though it affects many neurotransmitter systems in the brain. Some studies suggest it may enhance performance on complex tasks in healthy individuals; however, no long-term studies have tested whether modafinil prevents cognitive decline or dementia. Modafinil is generally considered safe for most people with minor side effects such as headache, nausea, dizziness, insomnia, and anxiety. Modafinil may improve cognitive performance on complex tasks in healthy individuals, though no studies have examined it for long-term brain health.
In a review of 24 studies that investigated the use of modafinil in healthy, non-sleep deprived individuals, researchers concluded that modafinil is more likely to help improve attention and learning for more complex thought processes rather than basic tasks.Aug 12, 2022

•Modafinil is sold under the brand name Provigil
, though it is also available as a generic drug. Modafinil is a much milder stimulant than Adderall, and its mild stimulant properties allow for using it in varied situations to address lethargy and sleepiness without the potential for inducing anxiety, jitteriness, irritability, or agitation. Adderall is a more powerful stimulant, and its use must be tempered. MOD, 2‐diphenyl‐methyl‐sulphinil‐2‐acetamide) is a stimulant-like medicine used to treat narcolepsy. Off-label uses include improving cognitive ability in the course of other diseases. This review aims to discuss findings demonstrating the memory and learningenhancing activity of MOD in experimental and clinical studies. We included behavioral evaluations alongside the effects of MOD at the cellular and molecular level.
