Testosterone potentially to be Declassified / Unscheduled with DEA due to “Discrimination towards trans?” 2 Massachusetts senators supporting new bill

The Trans community is fighting to declassify and unschedule testosterone. 2 US senators in Mass. are supporting this issue. They wrote to the Biden administration a few weeks ago and discussed the issue of the DEA scheduling testosterone and how it is discriminatory.

Fingers crossed that this will pass. Lawyers saying it is theoretically possible this could occur in 1-3 years. I was born skinny with dogshit genetics, but I identify as Swole. I support this— so long as the unscheduling of testosterone is for all humans.

As we all know… Testosterone is schedule 3 due to its “upsides,” not it’s “downsides.”

Agreed, a sensible limit ought to be something like 2-4 10ml vials a month which is enough for a standard cycle and can live with that. I'd love to also go into a CVS or a Walmart Pharmacy to pick up some test with no questions asked.

I bet they’ll leave it up to the pharmacists discretion just like syringes. When I go into Walgreens to buy syringes in a tank top, I’m denied every time. I have to “dress the part” and look nice, otherwise they refuse lol.

To clarify, to "de-schedule" a drug doesn't mean make it OTC or available to purchase like any other commercial product like multi-vitamins, etc. To deschedule would mean to make it not a control substance, but it would still require a prescription to get it. Like simvastatin or fuck, even viagra, you still need a script to get it. But making it a non-schedule drug sure would loosen the industry up quite a bit. Producing controlled drugs requires additional fees that have to be paid to the FDA each year; further, pharma manufacturers insurance carrying costs have direct links to number and type of controlled substances they produce each year.

This would also have an interesting effect on low-t clinics.........descheduling testosterone will make it easier to produce and distribute which means lower prices. The average, most, Low-t clinics wouldn't be able to get away with their high monthly charges anymore.......adapt or die off type market scenario.
"Wait, what the fuck? You've been charging me $200/month for four shots (1ml, once a week, 200mg per ml) and I can get 10 fucking ml's for $30 from walgreens!??!?!?"

I’m not sure anyone remembers what happened in 1990, but basically everyone (the DEA, AMA, Big pharma) all testified against the scheduling of testosterone and congress and the president did so anyways.

This would help all of us. I travel for work so trying to keep up on my TRT is very difficult. My home doctor has a hard time calling in prescriptions if I’m in another state, and my insurance will only supply a month at a time. It’s a huge fucking mess when state lines are involved for scheduled drugs.

I hope they do it, for all of us, not just the yoked trannies.

However the government will likely try n fuck em and try to turn it into buying really shitty gear at Walmart somehow. Like a lot of the big weed shops kinda do, if I’m explaining my perspective clearly.
