There's nothing easy about Hacks (or any other machine) when insane effort is put into it.
That being said, I love squats, the king of lifts IMO..

Why did Dorian Yates stop squatting?


During my first few years of training, barbell squats were pretty much always a staple in my leg workouts. I managed to work up to 495 lbs for a solid 10 reps. I had to stop doing barbell squats due to a hip injury around 1988.

Well I stopped barbell squatting "heavy" because 6 broken vertebrae and tibia platue..that being said I still do them ..but 2x my body weight no..
I leg press and hack squat that,also pendulum is a mofo..
I wish I was 20 yrs younger I would have done it differently..my legs are coming along tho :)

See, this is where I would not advise Squats...
Like Yates, who had to stop because of hip surgery....
I was talking about kids nowadays with chicken legs... I train people for a living, 20 yr old kids ask me how ro get big legs....told them to squat. They never do.... once they puke after doing squats... they give up.
Yeah , I had to breakdown and spend a chunk of $$$$ for a pendulum squat machine.

I did ss on hack squat wed..felt like I was gunna puke ..but I didn't 😂 was laid out on the floor stretching, after killing my intra and about 15 mins I was able to finish up my calves

Yeah bro. Next time ... Go almost til failure, pull off a 45, flip the way you're standing and go again...

I absolutely can grow with hacks. I'm so glad this machine exists. I can keep my knees straight while pushing some weight. That's the most important thing for me. Any twisting and I'm in pain instantly.

Heard that!!! Squats are the most difficult leg workout imo. Dead lifts are a close second.

I cant to deads anymore because of 2 shoulder surgeries..... I miss doing deads....
We all have to adapt as we age... Sux.
 
deads another one i do on occasions but not super heavy,,rack pulls also,i have learned if im not feeling it i dont do them,to many back issues and injurys
