Thanks, man.Lookin good bro! Keep it up
Thanks, bro. Yes, very sub 6'. About 5'8 1/2".if i remember correctly you're sub- 6ft correct?
Thanks for the kind words, Lou. The last time I measured my arms they were 19.5". I'm 43. I've been working out off and on since I was 15 years old, cycling since the age of 25. I've told people that I've done a couple shows in the late 90s in an effort to help validate my obsession, but the truth is I have never done a show. I've always intended to but life events always seemed to get in the way and interupt my focus. The last couple of years I've gotten more serious about doing a show. In 2011 I was prepping for a show out in Colorado when one day my mom called to inform me that my dad was diagnosed with a terminal form of cancer…there's those fucking life events again…needless to say I never followed through with it because the news fucked me up pretty bad. I've been blasting and cruising and I'm at the point now where I feel that I need to make one last run toward competing so I don't think I'll be coming off anytime soon (God willing). I'm going to see where my progress takes me and will consider a show in the next year or so.Yeah I saw your avi yesterday in another thread and said man who is this guy ? You've got to be one of the biggest, thickest guys here at ASF . You've got those thick heavy guns I have always wanted . Although mine are just a tad under 20'' now they don't have that thick look like you do . Maybe because I'm tall and have those long arms , lol Anyway I am impressed . In your post yesterday you said you've been doing this for 25 yrs so you must know what you're doing . Much respect ! Have you done any shows ?
A lot better than I fit in my Passat.how do you fit in a toureg![]()
Thanks, geoff.GDL, look at those wheels.
Walks around the gym like gimli, makes me look like legolas -_-
I don't mean to put any sort of negative spin on this (so PLEASE don't take it that way) but I'm curious....how do your joints feel? whats your cardiovascular health like?
and holy fuck a passat??!!! I dont fit in a passat!

Thanks brother, having your experience and knowledge coupled with my drive and ethic has been outstanding. It's made a significant impact on my growth (you've witnessed) in the past few weeks. I think competing is inevitable at this point. For you and for myself. I couldn't be happier with where I am goal and training wise. And you, I mean shit you look ready for a show now. You've been making great progress in the short time we've been working out together. You are a hell of a lot further along than I was at your age.
you're probably thinking a jetta. passats are the larger sedans. i'm 6'4 and fit in a passat
I've recently had some right shoulder issues that have been manageable with Aleve and staying away from the barbell bench presses. I'm afraid to have it MRI'd, as I don't want to know. No other joint issues.
As far as heart health goes, I monitor my blood pressure regularly and donate blood every few months. My hemoglobin runs on the high side, typically 18-19gm/dl. I just did a double red blood cell donation a couple weeks ago so I'm hoping that helps a bit. Going to continue doing double red donations from now on. My blood pressure typically runs 125/70 with a heart rate of around 78 (not resting), and that's on 750mg of test E and 400mg of tren E currently. The only supplements I take that may have a positive impact on these values are fish oil and Cialis at 5mg/day. As far as my lipid profile, I haven't had blood work done for quite some time so I'm not sure where I'm at there. This is something I was planning to take care of in the next few weeks.
no heart enlargement issues? sounds like all your other markers are fine tho...
my right should is the same thing and barely controlled by two aleve at the moment...like you I'm afraid to find out

Actually, I was diagnosed with "athlete's heart" back in 1998 at the age of 27. I had only done maybe two cycles by that age and they were very conservative cycles lasting 10-12 weeks and a lot of time in between so I really don't think AAS was to blame. It was probably the previous years of weightlifting that brought it on, or possibly all the years of sports that I participated in, who knows. From what I understand, and I hope I'm not getting in over my head here, there are two types of enlarged hearts (left ventricle hypertrophy), one good and one bad. The bad kind is caused by hypertension and is accompanied by thickening of the heart wall. I was told the type I had was a benign condition because there was no thickening of the heart wall which means the heart is still pumping a good amount of blood. At least that's how I recall it being explained to me by my cardiologist. Does that sound accurate?
