Get Shredded!
I had a deep laceration on my thumb. The wound was still bleeding in the emergency room. My blood was very dark, and the blood oozed out of the wound very slowly, it looked like a caterpillar crawling out of my thumb. The two nurses said they had never seen anything like it before.

I’m thinking it is because of my high iron level??? Every time I go to Red Cross to donate blood, they do a finger prick to check your iron level. They always say its high 16, 17 as high as 18. Also thinking high iron level is affecting getting a full erection. Can thicker blood affect getting a stiffy and what is the effect on other organs like heart, liver, kidneys?

I’ve been on a TRT regiment since 2016. Went off in October of this year. The quality of erection has seemed to improve, but libido has gone down to zero. Plan on staying off TRT for another month or two to see if my Iron levels and Johnson go back to normal. When I go back on TRT is there anything else I can do to keep iron levels down besides donating blood once a month.

Sorry for all the questions.

Thanks

I think Wes recommends Grapefruit juice, the real stuff not concentrate.

I don’t know the science behind it tbh, Wes generally has solid advice.

If you’re blood is thick you have bad blood flow and having a hard time getting blood to your penis and everywhere else in your body. It’s not good. While you were there you should’ve had them drain your blood or they should have suggested it. Every day I take one baby aspirin and 2000mg Krill oil to help thin my blood.

Just take Cialas and a mini aspirin daily. The cialas increase blood flow which helps with BP also as a bonus and your dick should work fine. A large majority of people here take it daily including myself.

And on a side note what does your name mean?

Great point, cialis and mini aspirin.

Cyclist in the early 90s as EPO was hitting popularity would add a spin session in the middle of the night if they had symptoms of blood getting thick.

Make sure you’re getting your cardio in!

I didn't even pay attention to the 82. I just realized it's in your screen name. 😆

Haha yeah 82 and 82nd are different for sure lol. Only one 82nd in the Military and it’s Army Airborne. And no devil dogs in the army that’s Marine specific.. 🤷🏻‍♂️

In addition to what others have mentioned, do yourself a favor and get blood work done. ASAP. Get your hematocrit, rbc, etc checked. If your blood is running thick you are at risk of stroke, heart attack, etc. Your heart is working in overdrive 24x7.

Thanks for the info. I must have a good ticker. Went through a pretty intense 12 week school recently, couple times thought my hart was going to explode. Makes sense thick blood heart has to work twice as hard. I will start the aspirin and Cialis regiment along with natural supplements. Going to stay off TRT for a couple more months then get Labs and reevaluate. Devil Dog is for the 18 year old Marine that served in my unit with me, he did not make it back. 82nd is for me.

Thanks

I apologize but if your TRT was legit based on blood work and test levels below 250 it will never improve. The entire purpose of TRT is to replace the natural production with treatment. Your body stopped making test and you had to take the shots to supplement the deficiency. TRT is a Replacement not a cure. I've never heard anyone stopping TRT and test levels improving. I am sorry but is just the fact. I tried it 20 years ago after 10 years of trt for a month and my levels were in the 100 range.

The idea is to stay off for a while to see if iron level goes down. Thick blood is partly attributed to high iron level, yes? If it goes down then I will get back on TRT and use all the recommended suggestions to control iron level, then get new labs to check iron level.
