Welcome!
I have to ask..
The pharmacist?
Hmmmm
Thank you! Yes, it is a legitimate title. I am a graduate of North Dakota State College of Pharmacy. Worked
for 30 years as a druggist (the term that I actually prefer.) I keep the license active. I am going to start collecting
social security very soon, so may do some part time or temp work, if the right work opportunity should appear.

Hello Doc. It seems you will be able to contribute to learning as well.
Oh,I am not a physician, my friend. I do not even have the 'doctor of pharmacy' degree
that is now customary in college and university programs, that was well after my time. I am
simply an old school druggist, RPh . Yes, I plan to contribute to drug related posts here.

Our neighborhood druggist in my hometown was Doc Cooley. He probably graduated pharmacy school in the 50s, also long before the PharmD was the standard.

Ahh, yes, your hometown corner drugstore, great memories for sure. Yes, the druggist was often nicknamed 'Doc' in those good old days, now I see
where you got it from. Me, I was sickly as a kid, always going to the clinic, then to the drug store afterward, so I was certainly exposed to it. I worked
in a small town hospital in my rookie year, going 1 day a week to prepare the drugs for the legendary / infamous San Haven State Home. Look up that
place, very interesting history there. Then after 4 years at Walgreens, I spent the final 25 years at a warehouse pharmacy that prepared drugs for
nursing home and long term care residents. I got out of pharmacy school in 1986.

A ton of knowledge here, I’ve lurked for a while to figure out the lay of the land. I’ve found a post for just about any topic or questions I’ve had so far. I’ve been able to find the answers to so I figured there’s no need for me to recreate some of this stuff by a new thread.
