DHT is the major cause of hair loss. This molecule is created by dihydrotestosterone, which is naturally produced by the body as a male hormone. Research has suggested on mice and rats, with FOXO4-DRI, there is an increase in the blood supply to the scalp. The hair follicles benefit as well, as there is an increased supply of nutrients and growth hormones that make them thrive. As a result, the proteins in the follicles enlarge and the DHT-blocking enzyme functions to reduce hair loss, preventing hair thinning and hair loss.
