New Ford Broncos---Yay or Nay?

Here’s mine, 2021 Bronco First Edition Sport Utility, V6 Turbo.

I’m a Chevy guy and drive a 2500. But my wife drivers the Explorer ST and that thing is stupid fast. It will smoke a V8 mustang, Audi almost anything I’ve came across. I’m not a fan of look but cord makes a great turbo.

It's kinda needlessly elevated.
Like Ina weird kinda way.

That's why I have a hard time with Explorers....."my wife drives one". They are too close to a minivan for my tastes. I spent years driving one of those with all the kids....never again.

I'm a shallow bastard when it comes to vehicle looks.

😂😂😂 I feel ya there. I love my full size truck

I can see where u say that.
I really went into the showroom with hopes.
I dunno.. Didn't feel right sitting in it.
So much so that I didn't even test drive it.

I would go with a pick-up.

That's actually what I'll be trading in. I don't use it as much now and if I get rid of it, then I have the excuse not to haul everything under the sun any more.
Wife: "Oh let's get that."
Me: "No truck...won't fit."

Keep in mind for the price it still drives like a Ford.. if your looking for something smooth and nice driving then I wouldn’t recommend. What I mean is you’re paying luxury suv prices for something that doesn’t drive like a luxury suv. Personally I think there’s better options.

😆 😆, I understand that. If I didn't absolutely need one I would probably go SUV too. I think the Bronco would be a solid choice.

I'm a big fan of the Lexus SUVs, the GX and LX lines. We've been extremely happy with my wife's GX 460.

Nice looking ride. I looked into the interior of one in a parking lot the other day. It seemed a little basic. I’ve been curious about the “tabs” or handle looking things on the front fenders.

I don't do a lot of test driving or anything, but my 2011 f150 rides and drives like a cadillac. Incredibly smooth, so much so that people comment on it when I give them a ride. The comment I hear most often is "you wouldn't know you were riding in a truck." We've even taken it on road trips cross country, because it is that smooth and comfortable.

But yeah, I anticipate the bronco will probably be closer to a jeep as far as ride goes.

You’re right about the ST being fast, I use one for work and it’s a lot of fun. It’s only the Ford Bronco Raptor that shear the same engine though and it’s way overpriced unfortunately.

Jeep Grand Cherrokee SRT. Its faster than the Explorer ST and it drives like a sedan.

Just sold my wife's explorer...she wanted a 150. The explorer was great and that turbo engine had the boogie to keep it fun for me. Road so smooth. Tried talking her into the bronco but she couldn't get past the look.

I have a jeep but was looking at them . Some them look really good but it's hard to part with tbe jeep

Idk lol I would have to put them on the line together lol. Especially in sport mode I beat a corvette the other day in the ST and not just barely

haha, it’s fast, especially for a SUV but it’s not that fast, 0-60 takes 5.2 seconds so the Corvette guy should return his car and apologize to all other Corvette owners for being such a failure of a driver. Jeep SRT is doing 0-60 in 4.5 with a top speed of 160 and the ST’s top speed is 143 so the Jeep is faster.
