Hamstrings are pissed today!

Did some good damage yday

My sons first wrestling meet is today. Pretty excited to go.

How old is he? I learned far more about myself than I ever did with football when I started wrestling when I was around 13. Ended up going 15-1 my first year, went to state every year in high school after that.

Native blood stood out with wrestling lol

He's 14, will be 15 in a couple weeks.

This will be his first opportunity to wrestle and he seems to enjoy the practices so far.

Wrestling is def one of those sports where the basics should be drilled everyday.

I think wrestling is one of the most character developing activities you could ever do. The feeling of you and only you against another person physically on a mat is a tremendously surreal and distinct experience. Not one sport (other then other combative ones) compares to it. Played football, basketball, track, powerlifting. Nope nothing compares to battling it out with another person on a mat.

Yeah it was fun to watch.

He had two matches. Lost both.

I didn't get to see the first one but saw all of the second. He was wrestling a junior who had been in it since freshman year.

I was impressed with how well he did though. He got taken down a couple times but ALWAYS got back to his feet. All of the other matches when a kid got taken down, usually it stayed there so, I was proud to see that.

He also has a temper so, when he did get taken down I could tell how upset he was and, even though that was probably part of how he got up each time, it gassed him by the end of the match.

Upper loading. Don't have my log book in front of me but, if I remember correctly -

Plate loaded Pulldown - 370(+10)*8, 320(+50)*10, 270(+90)*10
Low Cable Row - 20*13(+1)
Star flat chest press - 410(+50)*8, 360*8
DB Incline - 90*8, 60*14
Smith behind neck press - 205(+20)*8, 185*10(+3)
DB shrug 3 count hold - 85(+15)*18, 14, 12
Rope extension - 95(+10)*15, 13, 11

Bumped the weight up quite a bit to get in the lower rep ranges. I missed reps from my previous rotation but, not a ton. Two here and there on chest and back. Going to top out strength before the cruise starts so I'll have plenty of motivation to keep the weight on the bar.

Lower loading.

Stronger. It's getting silly honestly. I'll look at my log book but, I've gotten so much stronger this blast I'm pretty impressed with myself lol.

Low mid leg press - 14(2 high) *20, 14*18(+3), 12(+2)*20
Single Leg press - 100kg(+10)*15, 12
Seated hamstring curl - 120(+10)*12, 11
Adductor/Abductor - 190(+20)*13/15, 12/13
Calf Raise - 320(+20)*20, 18, 17, 15

Narrowed down the show I'll do next year today.

Have to move a vacation week but, it'll be between first of August and end of October. Depending on what week I can get will dictate the show. Weeeeee

Excited for you man

That gives you plenty of time to physically and mentally prepare. Really excited to watch you come in NASTY!!

Thanks fellas.

I'll probably cruise until it's time to start prep. I cruised for 4-6(can't remember exactly but, it was the entire time during my injury and then some) months before this blast and I felt great the entire run, made good progress and had no set backs.

I say that because I think that's what coach will want to do since he's conservative with drugs and believes in plenty of time off.

I AM ready for training cruise though lol. I've added more weight and reps this blast then I ever have by a long shot. I'm still getting stronger it's the scary part... At the point where I'm nervous at times.

Can you attribute the huge strength gain this cycle to something in particular that you haven't done in the past?

I think it's the food.

I'm eating more then I ever have, BY FAR.

I'm also gaining more fat then I have in my last couple gaining phases but, I'm much stronger.

I guess we'll see if the little extra fat was really needed compared to leaner muscle gains from the past.

Upper Muscle Rounds

Didn't do upper pump yday. Trying to see if recovery is being effected by upper pump like it was lower pump.

Smith Row - 345(+10)*24, 345(+10)*23(+1)
DB Incline Row - 70(+10)*23
Hammer Incline - 330*24(+1), 280(+10)*23(+1)
Hammer Shoulder press - 180*29(testing position)
Neutral face pull - 11*29, 14*23
Single arm press down - 40*23, 22
Ez Curl - 80*23
DB palm up curl - 35*22

Wicked pumps.

In the last week I've had five people who are regulars at the gym come up and ask me what I'm weighing and what I'm doing. A couple asked what I changed since they have seen me growing over the last two years.

Same answers, and they're true, training with lower volume and more frequency and, sticking to my diet just like if it were prep. Drugs never come up because that's not the answer lol.

Older guy asked if that changed, I said "yeah, I'm actually using less lol"

Oh and one of them asked me what I was singing during my sets..... Apparently I talk to myself when I go to the "other side" lol

He said, "you kept saying let's go motherfucker, 4,3,2,1, let's go"

I love that, gotta keep the motivation strong! If that kid was so bewildered about what you were singing, he's got a big think coming LOL.

Lower muscle rounds

High leg press heels only - 14(+2)*25, 12*24
Extension - 110(+20)*25
Lying leg curl - 120(+10)*24
DC Adductor - 120(+10)*15, 8, 5
Calf Raise - 280*26, 24, 23, 21

Will probably start my cruise tomorrow which a little early.

This run was 750mg test and 400mg Deca or npp the entire time and, I was quite happy. Some anadrol here at the end that didn't effect weight much but, bumped my strength really well. I pushed the scale up about 19lbs from my starting point with the blast and, I'm up around 38lbs from where I ended my cut.

I've almost completely eliminated gh at this point. Only doing 5iu on leg days (10iu a week) but, I'll be pulling that out too.

I keep telling people, it doesn't take that much but they don't want to listen

Get Shredded!
Off training today.

Oldest daughter was admitted to the hospital last night/this morning. EXTREMELY bad kidney infection and uti. So bad, she had 104 degree fever at one point and was delirious in pain. Pretty scary to watch.

I've heard about infections that can actually change how you act but, never seen one till yday. She was acting almost like someone with a mental illness.

She will be here at least until tomorrow so

Holy crap that's bad. Glad you got her in there. I've had a pretty good kidney infection before and it's no joke. The pain is awful

Damn man I hope she get better soon. They will be filling her with antibiotics, last time I was in for an infection I was there for four days. They wouldn’t release me until I had no fever for 24 hours without IV antibiotics. Keep your head up and stay positive she will recover from this soon.

They will keep her until at least tomorrow afternoon.

She was seeming a bit better and then a couple hours ago she started the twitching again. It's like when you're extremely cold and you're shaking involuntarily.

If it doesn't stop they said they would need to call a neurologist in to check her out.

The Dr said it's probably from the pain but, could also be that the infection was bad enough to cause her body to do weird shit.

He told us that she's had to have had it for a while considering how bad it is. She was complaining the day before yday about burning when she went to the bathroom so we got her some AZO which was too little too late it seems.

Hang in there, I had myositis from getting sick last summer. I now see up with severe hand tremors lasted six months. Had to see a neurologist who put me on klonpin hated the side effects from it. Eventually it all went away. Stay strong brother she will be just fine gotta let the shit run it’s course.
