Get Shredded!
Name one thing in this world that takes as much management and dedication as bodybuilding.
theres a reason most people don’t look too impressive unless they really dig deep into bodybuilding. Powerlifting as well.

each muscle group twice a week, mind muscle connection. Tracking lifts, progressive overload. Consistency

meal timing. Macro calculating, calorie management, food intake. Sleep. Recovery. Training format. CNS training versus hypertrophy. The list goes on.

maybe I’m wrong. But aside from med students and super demanding academics, I don’t think a damn thing in life takes commitment like this does.

correct me if I’m wrong

not a damn thing?

Clearly you never wrestled before, or at least done it with a serious attitude towards it. Talk about being perfectionist..

I gotta agree and disagree Bro! On one hand I'll vouch that multiple Masters and/Or Doctorates don't compare... On the other (whether it's a personal choice or not is debatable), but Spec Ops Military work is as regimented, if not more; and it was a choice regardless like being a pro.

Not every profession flexes physical muscles, but there's no way (as a fitness competitor) that the real MIL BROTHERS don't have it much different. Almost every free moment is spent sharpening skills and beating the shit outta your body. I'm 6 shoulder surgeries, 3 back, 2 neck, and a bunch of through n throughs past my expiration. The one difference is with BB you can choose when to workout. MIL, it's similar except you workout when you have free time and sometimes free time is compromised due to x y z... Food is regimented.too and it sucks. I'd rather eat scorpions cooked on the BBQ.

Other than that, I cannot think of many "professions" that out themselves through hell for ANY REASON; be it TROPHY or MEDAL.

without a doubt, but that goes for almost anything that becomes a craft that someone masters, or at least is very good at with passion..
Bodybuilding is probably the most misleading way of life that is advertised the way it is especially due to the way supplement company's exploit it..
Everybody wants the body, but they don't want to put in the time and work, the reality of it comes as a massive shock and intimidation when they see exactly what it takes.

Being a good father

sometimes I want to drive my truck off a cliff but..... love takes a lot of commitment, dedicated, and cardiac health as well as mental health....

sometimes I wanna drive my truck off a cliff but.... I’m afraid I’d suck at suicide too 😬

heh heh ...I win give me free stringers and juice

also serious bodybuilding takes a lot of dedication but more in a self serving kinda way

Good call. I wrestled in middle and high school. All of the above plus drill after drill after drill over n over n over. Sure was fun tho.

I admit this was a dumb ass post, but I saw day in the life of an nfl athlete Now it was just one guy. But like for example they drank a protein Gatorade post workout and had eggs and cereal for breakfast. Lots of training and conditioning but noticed there wasn’t much attention to diet. Which I believe is essential even if physique isn’t your goal.

I just feel a lot of athletes may not entirely look fully into protein requirements and carbs for glycogen and energy and fats for hormone production etc. I think a lot could be applied from bodybuilding into other sports that’s all and I really saw how even though many sports require lots of talent and conditioning, bodybuilding seriously takes commitment outside the gym and attention to detail when it comes to training. I mean I can go to the gym 4 hour sa day if I had the time. Easy. Cuz I like it. But the diet is where I struggle with consistency. (So I’m contradicting my own post) but the point is diet is the hardest I’d say. And when casual people here diet they think salads and water. But it’s more like macro and calorie intake as well as meal timing. <- I think that last part is very essential

i dont love w/out. i do love the way it makes me look/feel. if i could get up in the morning and eat a grapefruit and that would make me look the way i look now, i would never see the inside of a gym again. i would eat the grapefruit and spend the rest of the day w/ my daughter ,who has Down Syndrome. she gives me more joy than bench pressing 500lbs. to ur point it does take commitment. i would much rather lay on my couch and eat potatoe chips, than sling weights,it just doesnt have the same effect, soooo off to do my fucking push-ups-shit!

You're not dumb for posting this.. everyone was just having a little bit of fun, everyone knew the point you were trying to make but we were just having a little bit of fun with it
. I don't think for one second that anyone will disagree, and we can all appreciate the true authentic commitment and dedication that bodybuilders have.. there has been more failures at this way of life than any other way of life or sport for that matter.. so many people have given up because they refused to press forward and give it the very best..and this goes all the way down to just the everyday person that joins a gym goes for a couple days and never returns. There's a lot of quitters..

totally agree w/ my man afont(as usual) and Vision. not a dumb post at all. to me it is one of my top priorities in life.(next to my daughter and wife of course) but it totally takes alot of determination to keep at it. ive been doing it for 42 years and when people ask me "whats the hardest part for you " my answer is always (just staying w/ it) u know as simple as it is, i think Nike has one of the best slogans ever. (Just do it!) sometimes when i feel like shit and want to do anything but work out, i always say that to myself (JUST DO IT!) good luck to u bro whatever cycle u choose!
