I meal prep alot and always interested in finding cool gadgets. I was using silicon cooking utensils but they kinda suck for trying to cook large quantities of meat. Too bendy. Wife got me these coated wooden utensils and the meat buster for Xmas. I love them both. The meat buster can shred a pile of chicken in seconds and break apart beef.

I'd love to see your "must have" cooking and prepping gadgets.

Meat buster looks insanely helpful with my crockpot chicken putting it in amazon cart now haha. For me air fryer, rice cooker, huge strainer, solid spatulas and spoons, good fritter for mixed drinks finer etc.

Meat Buster has become my new favorite tool. Cooking 3-4lbs of beef has become so much easier. Its heavy and kinda sharp on the ends so it somewhat cuts and doesnt scratch the non-stick. You'll love it.

Shredding chicken is a breeze.

How good is the rice cooker? I usually get the Success boil in bag. 6 minutes in the microwave. I know you can buy bulk bags of rice much cheaper and I'm always looking to save, but honestly, all ive ever used is boil in bag.

I get the huge bags like 25ln from Costco Sam’s etc. it ends up being way cheaper and I go through like 5lbs a week maybe a little more. I get up in the morning throw the rice cooker on walk away do my fasted cardio and when I come badk
It switches to keep warm by itself perfectly cooked and I jsjt make all my meals for the day with it. Super easy convenient no stress etc. obviously I have a bigger one I forgot how many cups kt
Holds but they have different sizes etc

Definitely checking into it. I go through 2-3 boxes a week at $5 a pop. Gotta save everywhere that I can.

Being a professional cult leader is very rewarding, but the pay isnt that great. 🤣

Lotta tax write offs for “religion” hahaha you need a partner let me know 🤣🤣

Told my wife i was giving her the meat buster and she said let me shower first

Just put it in the cart actually - looks cool

Rice cooker is a must have for us. Not only cheaper, but I think rice comes out better from one. Sushi or basmati or jasmine or white or brown - all better from the cooker imo

Beyond that it’s a grill (which we don’t have in the apartment, so we use the one at the mountain house ALL the time when we’re there) and then good standard tools - wooden spoon and scraper, metal and plastic tongs, metal slotted and solid spoon and spaghetti server, metal mallet to mash meats, quality metal colander. Finally a set of quality (not stupid expensive but good quality) knives and a diamond hone. Oh, and a big cast Dutch oven - use that fucker all the time from searing meat on the stove and finishing in the oven to slow cooked stuff on the stove top to chili and soups and pozole… the thing does it all.

Insta pot is a huge one for me. I will throw a few pounds of chicken in there with an onion and a few cloves of garlic. Set it to pressure cook for 45 minutes and it falls apart when done. Works well for lean tough cuts of beef too. I cook some of the leanest beef in it and it comes out so tender. Beef an broccoli is a favorite of mine and I can make three pounds of it in 45 minutes without having to do a thing. Save the stock and throw it in an ice tray, freeze the stock and then transfer to a large ziplock. I have some beef stock that is three or four batches deep. Saves so much money over going to the store bought that is loaded with sodium.

It completely cuts the cook time. You can do pot roast that would take 8 hours in the crock pot in 45 minutes. It allows me to do several lunches and dinners. I just take the total weights of all the ingredients pre cook to calculate total calories, then take the finished cooked weight and weigh out each serving. It was a game changer. That and my rice cooker are the two most used items. When I have time to cook a proper meal I usually use the grill/flat top. I try to use my stove as little as possible. Another super helpful addition is a food saver. I buy my meat in bulk then portion it out, and vacuum seal it. You can do wet marinades so the meat is ready to go, just drop it sous vide style in some boiling water and you are gtg.

I found big pans a big spoon and my outdoor grill took care of most everything in my 30 years of prepping my food for work.

Neuro Fuzzy® Rice Cooker & Warmer NS-ZCC10

This is the one you want, I did tons of research. If you eat tons of carbs it's amazing due to the fact that it keeps rice hot and fresh 24+ hours.

If you eat beef then sous vide is good. You can cook a chuck roast to have similar texture as a ribeye steak. It's also good for making deli style roast beef with perfect doneness. Can be used for pork as well. I used to cook pork shoulders, chill and cut them into steaks and sear, so good.

Now that I'm in a deficit and eat chicken 90% of the time I don't use it that much though. I miss beef.

Can confirm - Neuro Fuzzy is the goat of rice cookers.

Anova is what i’d recommend for sous vide - they make a great product. Super versatile. I can do a “smoked brisket” by sous vide-ing overnight and then finishing on the egg or even in the oven and unless you live in Austin (where i earned my low and slow chops), youd never know i didn’t stay up all night futzing with the smoker. It’s great for pulled pork and steak and pork roasts, chops, etc - gets the temp perfect to not have trichinosis and then you finish with a high hear sear or torch (torch is way more fun). Same for a good steak (or venison/elk/moose) - get to perfect level of done-ness and then put a perfect sear on it with no chance to overcook it. Like you say it also makes cheaper cuts eat like spendy ones. Great for fish and soft boiled eggs too. Oh, and ribs! Damn, i use that for lots of stuff

Makes me want to break mine out!

Picked up this little gadget up for $5 to make little egg puffs in the microwave. It says 2 minutes. Figured I'd make some and throw them in a zip lock for an easy breakfast. I'll have to report back.

I recently picked up an $80 Cuckoo rice cooker that's been working well to keep rice warm and soft all day. It's the micom model with "fuzzy logic". Previously I used an Aroma or one those cheap $13 rice cookers and while they did an ok job with the cooking process, their "keep warm" features always seemed to burn rice after an hour or two.
