Womenz.

I stopped fighting the struggle years ago. It’s just money bro. Can’t take it with you when you go.

Enjoy the little moments my friend. Things work themselves out in the end.

Always. I use to stress about it constantly and there are still days that I do but overall I have learned to just take it a day at a time and do the best I can. It has been years ago now but I had a nervous breakdown over it at that point. I was already an alcoholic and that just made it worse. My habit was very counterproductive due to spending so much on alcohol. So glad I havent touched alcohol in a few years. Was undoubtedly one of the best choices I have ever made to quit.

Maybe not daily but definitely often. Seems like the harder I grind to make a little extra and get something put away something always comes up that winds up costing all or more than I had saved. Talk about a fucking hamster wheel. I'm only 39 but one thing I seem to be good at is not stressing about it and just keep pushing telling myself I will get the funds and get it taken care of.

Yep. Working hard to stay poor. It’s definitely a hamster wheel kinda life.

Yes I struggle but only because it’s hard not to have any. That doesn’t mean I’m not happy though. Growing up I literally had nothing after my Dad went to prison for basically his life. I lived in an old ass boxing gym for years but I was happy. While I was fighting I actually had some money but it only attracted scumbags that caused me to be unhappy. Fast forward to today and I’m broke as a joke again but once again I’m happy. Well as happy as I get anyway. Point is money sucks. I’d much rather live with nothing and be happy just being with my family. I wish I made more for them but I hope they listen to what I tell them and also realize money isn’t everything.

You know bro I obviously don’t know what’s going on with you but I’m gonna pass on two life lessons that one of my old coaches/mentors use to tell me all the time.

1.) No matter how much you have, money will not and can not bring you true happiness. Temporary gratification maybe but not true happiness.
Probably just as ,if not more ,important than number one is:

2.) Whatever pussy you pass up now you will never get back. 😁

He also said the older I would get the more I would realize how true both of those lessons were. Imo they are both spot on so he must have been a pretty smart motherfucker. Lol

The funny thing is, when you boil it down the list of things that actually bring you joy is really small.

For me:
  • wife and kids
  • Jesus
  • camping/fishing/hunting/hiking
  • lifting weights
  • trail running
  • date night trying new places to eat, hike in the wall type spots.

That’s kinda it.

For me, it’s not a trip to the Maldives or a mansion. So I don’t worry about spending money on shit that doesn’t matter to me. Most people spend money to impress people they don’t care about. I just don’t care what most people think of me.

What can be the most concerning element surrounding money is you can never have enough.

And retirement. Having enough to live well. And doing it early enough to enjoy it.

As we get older our currency changes from money to “time.”

Old rich ppl sitting on a pile of cash worry more about time then gathering more cash.

Time just becomes way more valuable as we age.

They are protesting in France Bc the government wants to increase their retirement age from 62 to 64.

I feel you on that on both levels, mine just made teams in gymnastics and it is ridiculous how much they charge for that. It is an evil world out there so keep up the good fight!

This hits home I had this thought today. I recently started making 100k a year within the last 2-3 years. Before I was in the service or did other jobs that didn’t pay shit. But now I work a shit load more and don’t get to spend much time with the wife and kids. But I do have nice vehicles house paid off and go on vacations. Imo I would rather go back to having not as much as I do now. And living pay check to pay check. It was a struggle but I had more time with the people who mean more to me then money could ever.

Set up your future, put your cash in the Bank or mattress. When you feel you have enough, go back to the old you. I read an article about how much the average person has saved for retirement. I was shocked to see it was only about 125k. Time is everything, money will come and go.

Yep. Trading time for money sucks.

Everyone has to work. So why not make as much as you can, right?

Just get that retirement goal set.
