We have seen an incredible diverse, and quite unsettling, array of outbursts and behaviors related to TDS, otherwise known as "Trump Derangement Syndrome". While the scientific community has not come to a general consensus regarding a unified definition of TDS ( remember, #trustscience), TDS overall, is a mental disorder, roughly characterized as irrational, illogical and otherwise delusional thoughts and physical reactions to President Trump the person, Trump's image/likeness, Trump's voice and even just the word itself, "Trump", being seen in the written word or heard in a public setting. There have even been rare cases reported of TDS patients actually damaging and vandalizing trumpets, a brass wind instrument used in classical and jazz, simply because the name contains the word combination "trump."
On Friday, February 7, 2025, there was perhaps the most serious, outrageous act of TDS ever recorded. A female lawmaker, Democratic state Rep. Laurie Pohutsky, voluntarily sterilized herself due to her TDS mental illness:
Democratic state Rep. Laurie Pohutsky told a crowd in Lansing on Wednesday: “Just under two weeks ago, I underwent surgery to ensure that I would never have to navigate a pregnancy in Donald Trump’s America,” Pohutsky said. “I refuse to let my body be treated as currency by an administration that only sees value in my ability to procreate.”
