Oh one thing i saw which is totally new to me guys and forgive me if I am wrong I simply haven't seen it.

Ground beef is either doubled in price or doesn't exist

BUT...

The new thing the stores have is 70% beef LOL

We had 80/20 and 90/10 and I wanna say some other variations. But now theres a 70/30 and thats even shorted

I've made meatloaf in 80/20 and its literally a lake of grease. Super gross

I can't imagine how this new 70/30 cooks LOL

Oh yeah and its super pink. in color. I don't trust it one bit haha

70/30 is the lean to fat ratio for pork sausage, not sure what you’d do with the ground beef.

OK so I had to look this up.

First its very pink due to high fat content (fat is white right?)
I see a lot of talk from the KETO crowd, makes sense
Snake River Farms has American WAGU @70/30 (I'm ordering some $9.99lb)
I would have to say the fat adds flavor (think marbled meat) and probably grills up very moist, probably not so good for meat loaf

@AR-15
Helpful post in the PIT right here lol

Can you imagine their dismay, being forced to buy lean meat?

I was in a Costco in Spokane once and a lady was on the phone trying to decide which frozen pizzas to buy. I mentioned the califlower pizzas being good. She took a look and said “Oh, they’re healthy. She won’t eat anything that’s healthy.” I was like WTF?!

Walked three aisles over into the cereal aisle and I overhear a husband telling his wife “NO! Don’t get that. We have enough healthy stuff in the cart already.”

Going out of their way to not just eat shitty but to avoid healthy and maybe tasty food.

Lol, insane. I told my wife that and she was shocked. The average American is a drone. Two liter of Mountain Dew and a single wide mobile home is all they strive for.

The beef guy is doing the same thing the drug dealers do. When the product gets to pricey or to scarce they just cut it more.

I’m pretty fortunate to be surrounded by hunters on both sides of the famry. Hell I ain’t even gone out hunting in a decade and still eating like a medieval king.

Milford kings freezer contents;

wild caught Alaskan salmon, cod and red snapper
elk, tons of venison, beef, pork… frozen burritos from Walmart. (I don’t know what it is about these little bastards but melt some cheese and dab a lil scorpion sauce and these Walmart burritos and shit is dank. Only 7000 calories too)

got some Olive Garden Italian dressing in the back of the fridge too… the salad mix is a tad brown so I’ll hafta grab some fresh after work… been cravin salad lately.

my wife bought like 300 protein bars but didn’t look at the ingredients and chicory root gives her painful gas so I got like 300 protein bars now. Just in case of emergency…

tons of eggs from thy neighbor … been luring pheasants into my yard with bird seed so that’s an option..

im all set for this revolution. Bring it on!

Damn brother you lookin like a real King with that freezer
Wish i still had it like that, nothing like the country !

Seriously, look at this price gouging when I try to get it online:
https://www.amazon.com/Taco-Bell-Sa...8&sprefix=taco+bell+fire+sauce,aps,184&sr=8-1
$24 for 3 bottles!!! I bet it is $1.34 at your local store. Fuck this fucking bullshit. Seriously though, you should snag them up and make some profit selling them to desperate assholes like me.

Even walmart is $29.
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Taco-Bell-Fire-Sauce-Glass-Bottle-7-5-OZ-3-bottles/467971871

Just hit taco bell and grab and handful every day or two and fill a mason jar bro

There hasn't been a lot of things we wanted to get and weren't able to find it. But on the eastcoast maybe it makes a difference then if I were in some rural area...IDK.

Definitely higher prices. Chopmeat I got this week was about 9 bucks for two pounds.

Beef is much higher. So hoping as ppl shy away from it, demand goes down and so supply goes up and they adjust prices again to normal levels.

For me and my wife, son part time...food bill is about 1k a month. And we are trying to buy sale items.

Thanks Biden for building back better. Doing a great job!!!!

I can barely get my two freezers to close they are so full.
Sounds more like a planning issue.
This is the problem I am having right now . My local stores are usually low or out of meat so when I see it I’m buying uo all of the lean turkey . I haven’t seen a chicken breast in almost two weeks and that’s kind of annoying

We have a complete cat food shortage here.

Zero canned cat food.

I see people on social media going nuts over it. I also have seen the pet aisles. 100% bare in any store I've been

We don't have pets though.

Maybe things are so bad, cats might not be the only ones eating cat food. I remember years ago reading about elderly ppl so poor they would eat dog food to survive.

I will say this, for whatever reason, Shoprite has been better stocked then Stop N Shop.

Maybe it's where they get if from? IDK

All just another case where the poor will struggle that much more. The voters who said yes to Biden might be having some regrets.

It's been that way for months...maybe a year now. We've switched dog foods more times than I can remember the last several months. The dog is getting to the "wtf is this?" point and is getting super picky now. On top of that, we're keeping him on the "healthy" stuff, so it is nigh impossible to find anything. Just take what they have. Even ordering it online from Chewy has gone the same route.

Everyone, rest easy. We have Dear Leader Biden, a man of experience, wisdom, honesty and profound integrity at the helm. There is nothing to worry about. Be thankful that while the shelves you shop at might be increasingly bare, Dear Leader Biden is well rested and fed so he can faithfully lead us to better days. I, for one, sleep comfortable at night knowing this.

I just talked with Biden. Dont worry its all part of the plan. Americans are fat they need to eat less. Its the governments job to make sure citizens are healthy.. Its science- less food means less obesity. He is saving American lives you ass holes.

Buy a turkey, I get bored with chicken. Frozen turkeys keep forever and are usually pretty cheap.

I can't find that either, all I can find is ground turkey which is what I do eat most of the time anywhere..
I'm going to ask the wife to keep an eye out for turkey when she goes to Costco.. I continuously bitch about chicken. And I hate the fact that a lot of times other shit taste like chicken.

Weird stuff here just goes missing for weeks at a time. This week its crinkle french fries, none to be found anywhere, certain cereals, and strangely distilled water.

I specifically notice the refrigeration area with the meats were slowly dwindling down during the course of the past several weeks, but I wrote it off that it was a delay with restock, but the restock never came and it became almost permanent..

Yet some people reached out to me and told me that they're having no issues at Aldi's, and to my surprise they have everything.

It seems to be that Walmart and other large grocery stores are the ones that are affected.

I'm not entirely certain if it's a contract thing, is there issues with the supply chain with shipping goods?

Because like I said Aldi's was business as usual and I'm not sure who their contracted with.

Most of that is just the trickle down of popularity in shopping. Walmart will be the first to run out because everyone shops there. Then people will hit the next most popular store, and so on and so forth.

Walmart is kind of an odd duck in some aspects. Individual stores can carry their "own" preferred stock. For example, we can drive an hour over to the next city and get these breakfast burrito things that the wife insists on having. Our local store has never carried them. People complain all the time about walmart not stocking the same things across stores.

I see people mentioning distilled water, and it is hit and miss here too. I can't see there being a shortage of water, so there is NO good excuse. You all probably already know, but sometimes there will be a few jugs in the baby aisle.
