I've actually never ate sauerkraut before.

I swear saurkraut is a really good change of pace food when on low carbs, and it definitely aids with digestion. I get on the train periodically with it. I get burned out pretty quick with the taste, but it's really good at first. Hard to explain... lol. Goes well with meats.
