Thanks! The kids got together this year on my birthday and got me a new halloween prop for the yard. The collection is getting pretty nice, if I do say so myself. I try really, really hard to keep the yard kid friendly. Nothing demonic, no man's inhumanity to man psycho killer stuff, etc. So it's mostly spiders, snakes, etc and classic trope stuff like skeletons, witches, scarecrows. Even then...most kids younger than about 2nd grade won't come in the yard even when they are holding a parent's hand. There's something calming about a grandpa in his khaki shorts and polo shirt walking a candy bar out to you though. I'm at the point now that kids that trick or treated my house growing up are bringing THEIR kids to trick or treat. It's pretty awesome. The parents love it as much as the kids do (sometimes more I think).
