Get Shredded!
Hello everyone
My current doctor believes that my total test being over 450 is to high. Switched me from 200a week to 150. She is also thinking I should come off totally. Been on for 10 years now. Is there a suggested protocol or beg to stay on

Ugh...these doctors not willing to get you into 800-1000 range. I'm surprised 200mg EW is not putting you a lot higher though. Yes, there's a protocol for coming off...kind of like a long pct. How old are you?

I'm curious, why is your doc thinking you need to come off? I would find a new doc to keep me at 200 a week since your test results are at 450 it is in your favor to stay at 200 and finding one shouldn't be too hard. However, many dudes get by just fine on 150mgs a week. Have you considered self medicating?

What were they before your doctor prescribed trt? Someone put you on trt, ten years ago, so they had to be low enough back then, right? Are you working with an endo?

Gotcha. Sounds like my *female* gp. My male urologist that actually managed my trt was a little more with it and was fine as long as I didn't go over 1000.

I don't know man. Mid forties is about the age most guys are thinking about going *on* trt. Your decision, but if you had low levels to begin with, don't look for them to bounce back to any level that is going to make you feel "ok". I'd probably stay the course.

Going off at 44 may not really be an option . IMO - there are more risks from T being too low .Just get some labs and do the shots ( 200 mgs per week) - OD

10 years and coming off you will probably never go back up on it’s own. Check around

IMO coming off for you is a horrible idea and I would find a new doctor. 450 is not too high.

Don't forget your doctor works for you.
I would just tell her to brush up on some literature and let her know you are going to find a different doctor with more understanding of male hormones.
The crap she is pulling is total bs.

If your test levels were below 250 and you went on TRT for legitimate reason I will promise your test will drop even lower if you stop. TRT is a life long treatment and it doesn't stop once your levels are normal or above normal. Your body is not making enough test so that's why your are taking injections. Years and years ago my doc told me to see an endo. I met with a female endo and right away she wanted me to stop because my test was mid 500. I told her absolutely not and explained my reasoning. She did not disagree but her answer was, lets see how you feel even with low levels.

Never went back and my doc kept me on it until today.

Trying to find another good doc in Arizona. Anyone know of any. She actually wants to lower to 100 a week now stating 150 a week is still high. Never does that. Or said to just stop, I was like then I will fill like crap and crash my test back to zero. She did that wouldn’t happen. Grrr
