Giving blood

Had to do bloodwork to keep my trt script.. I supplement my dose quite regularly 🤣.. I came off long enough for my bloodwork to show normal test levels but my rbc came back high. My doctor recommended giving blood 3 times a year to help. Anyone else on here had to do that?

It’s very common that rbc levels become raised. Lots of guys here including myself donate a few times a year which seems to keep things at bay.

I feel blood donations, as altruistic as they are, don’t impact your RBC as much as we think. Adult humans have an average of 10 pints or so in circulation. You make around 2million cells a second and can only donate every 56 days. So a 1 pint donation a couple 3 times a year isn’t a huge amount. I used to donate like clock work but haven’t in over a year. My RBC count hasn’t budged. If you are pushing a huge amount of test perhaps it’s different, IDK. Curious if IFBB pros donate or if this is bro science.

I get several reminders to donate every few months or so…. I try to make it happen when I can.

I donate every 3 months. The place I donate won’t do it any more frequently than that. They do send me a text when it’s time to donate again.

I use vitalant, get emails and texts when I'm eligible to donate again. I'm on trt w my pcp..She suggested that I donate. I'm only on 100mg a week and that still raises my hemocrit

It’s always beneficial, forces the bone marrow to produce fresh blood, contributing to new healthy red blood cells.

I've likened it to an oil change in vehicles. Blood tends to get more viscous when I've ramped up test and by donating, it allows our body to replace/replenish itself with new.

Also most people don’t have the means to detoxify their own blood and they are perpetually poisoning themselves.

I am D.r prescribed TRT for over 20 years. Back when i ran heavier cycles then i do now i would donate blood every 2 months to keep it in a good range. To high or to low is not what i wanted. Not that i only do low dose cycles, i give 3 time a year at most. Just depends on what my numbers are which is easy enough to do with practice at least for me.

Do a Power Red at the Red Cross. Takes about 45 minutes or so. You will feel really good after that. Takes out 2 units of RBCs.

A standard one pint donation never did much for me. The Power Red, on the other hand, lowered my numbers 2-3 points.

I believe it affects bp.. also just overall heart health. I’m under the assumption high rbc thickens your blood. I also take baby aspirin to help

Well I donated but due to my blood type they didn't let me do power red. Tried talking me into plasma but that won't do anything for my rbc and platelets so just did whole blood

All your plasma is returned so your blood has been thinned.

Unlike whole blood donations where you just have less but the viscosity stays the same.

My shit stayed high as fuck. And it was only like a month after my donation. Donating barely helps my numbers. I'll try a power red. Now I use private places so I can go often. Fuck red cross 3 month rule. US JUICEHEADS NEED BLOOD TAKEN. MUST. GIVE. BLOOD. RAA. It got really bad when I mixed test esters and added anadrol. My rbc just Shot up so bad. Even worse than EQ. Way worse. My doc was like IVE NEVER SEEN HEMO OR RBC SO HIGH lmao in his lil accent.
