The USDA has already compensated farmers approximately $150 million for culling sick avian infected chickens with another $250 million set aside for further culling if necessary...I hope those Republican farmers are thanking Joe's leftist regime...also, only egg laying hens have contracted the flu...however it is possible for a variant to infect chickens that are raised to be eaten...imagine if that happened! The price for chicken would sky rocket and you would have something else of which you know nothing to complain about...

I always find it odd to see liberal males on a steroid forum. It’s proven that men with moderate to high testosterone levels are typically conservative in nature. Reason being that when a man feels confident, healthy and capable he will want less government autonomy and more personal freedom. We want to pilot our own lives. I spent the summers of 72-74 on my uncle's farm...put down a lot of sick animals...up at 3:30 am everyday...i still belong to the Ohio farm bureau..chopped off chickens heads and plucked them for dinner...I am not a liberal and I don't watch CNN...I was driving tractors and reapers before I drove a car...farmers knew then just as they do now...when animals are infected you cull all of them before they infect the next farms animals...

Gotta see where your buying your stuff, if it’s the food store your getting ripped off, I get 15 dozen eggs for 3-4 bux. 6lbs of filet for 50 bux, I have not been affected one bit cause I go to the local farmers auction. I use Aldi for veggies and fruits and buy rice and potatoes from an Asian market who is diet cheap

Nah...I just used Forbes...a simple Google search of "fox news conspiracy on avian flu" was a waste of time since they don't even see a conspiracy...it appears only the tic toc jerks do...conservative farmers don't kill their profits...my uncle told me there is no way he would cull animals unless it was necessary to financially survive in the future... ironically his son and I cull deer with crossbows in cities near us simply because of over population they cause traffic accidents and eat people's outdoor plants...this flu has now spread to other wild animals like bear and fox...not too bad yet...but you never know...again, we all may be eating Soylent green in the future..

A few years ago there was an outbreak of Newcastle Disease. They killed a bazillion chickens. Mexico is the largest consumer of eggs in the world or so I am told.
What we had was just a shortage and a limit on purchases. No increase in price.
In the LOTF a shortage ALWAYS means a gouging.
