First PCT

Will be coming off my first cycle of test E in a month. I will be at 400mgs a week for the rest of it. I have Nolvadex and Clomid on hand. What would be some of the best PCT protocols?

Clomid 50mg for 2 weeks then 25mg for 2 weeks. Nolvadex 40mg for 2 weeks then 20mg for 2 weeks.

I’ve always cruises on a trt does, so no experience with PCT.

Why add novla?

Doesn’t that just stop estrogen from binding to breast tissue?

I see almost universal recommendation for novla for a pct and was wondering the logic behind it.

Tamoxifen does not mimic the LH in the body, rather it stimulates the hypophysis to release more gonadotropins. Gonadotropins are protein hormones that are secreted by gonadotrope cells of the pituitary gland and stimulate faster and higher release of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH). When this happens, the rise in LH will spike up the total testosterone levels allowing a smooth post cycle therapy.

The usually recommended dose is 40mg of nolva daily for 2 weeks then drop that dose to 20mg for another two weeks. Same for clomid, 40mg daily two weeks then 20mg daily another two weeks.
