Even if you don't really have any of the Above listed..
Perhaps..just feel like everyday is the Same..
Round and Round..Going Nowhere..

It happens...
Loosing Motivation..!!
This is the 3rd Monday this Week..Crap.

We all have this Happen from time to Time..

Talking about the Problem..
That's Step One..
Classically women talk to each other..
BUT
Men..generally Don't..
We hold it In...taught to keep it In..
Be a Man..

Well..that's Bullshit..!!
I've got some crap bothering me..easy to caught up in my Head..Self Pity Shit..

Yesterday..my new church friends are dealing with a lot..
A young married couple..
Well the Wife has battled C and beat it,but slipped and broke her leg in Dec...
She's overweight and now not very mobile..
Fighting an infection that's threatening her Foot..

Where I'm going with this...
Everyone is dealing with something..big or small..
I went over to their house a week ago, and cooked some Salmon on a cedar plank and spaghetti squash..
Yesterday..I helped them move some stuff off their yard..

Yeah,I'm dealing with a lot..easy to wallow in my crap..
But
It felt great to help..
And,my head wasn't on my Shit...
It was a..Win..Win..

There's always someone out there with Bigger Problems..
AND
Working the solution..
Not the Problem..

And..if you take a Breath and Look..
Often, the crap we think is So Big..
Is really small..

Z.. I’ve been dealing with depression and PTSD for years. And it only worsened when I got stabbed awhile back. But you a I talked about the results of that, which was a miserable long process and something I have to live with. I have been to inpatient and see a therapist twice a week. What helps me is going to church every week and just focusing on each day. I don’t label the day, it’s just a day. I reflect on each one before I sleep and move to the next. Every day is a process. Church, gym and fishing on my boat are my go to for peace and quiet and clarity. It’s what works for me, well most of the time.

you got any hobbies, something to look foward to during the day or week. I volunteer at the VA moving homeless vets into housing, just a couple of hours a month or a day or 2 a month, build wheelchair ramps fix cars or wheelchairs, its reminds me that my problems arent too bad. maybe look for a place like that where you can give a little time to improve someones life

you got a dog bro? I take my dog out hiking on trails shes really good off leash its kinda my zen place

Gabriel is nearly 10 and really slowly down..
I take him everywhere I go..all day long..
Scares the shit out of people..

Zion I have struggled mightily with depression in my life. I could wax and wain about what has worked and what hasn’t, but I’ll boil the cheat sheet.

Not saying you aren’t doing these things but saying it out loud for others.

Be consistent: wake up and go to bed at the same times.
Meds: if you need ‘em fucking take ‘em. There nothing manly about letting a problem persist.
Counseling: talking to a professional helps when you find the right one and lean in.
Be Sober: living sober is about mental, emotional and spiritual sobriety.
Don’t Isolate: being alone sucks, but letting people in can be even hard.
Daily Gratitude: an attitude or gratitude is a great place to be.
Self Esteem: we gain self esteem by acting in an esteem-able manner.
Fitness: obvi


There’s probably a thousand other things too. Not meant to be or sound preachy but having survived myself thus far, these things I have learned.

We've had some members pass that were dealing with real problems..problems we had no idea even existed..
Talking is Step #1..
The Most Important Part..

Letting ourselves open up..leaning on people..being an Ear..
Whatever it fucking takes..
To derail a Trainwreck or another lost Life..

Most times..it's not One thing..
BUT
A series of events that weighs us down..a sickness..an addiction we're ashamed of..and Never get Help..

Life isn't Easy..and we sometimes think there's No Way Out..

I promised to open up a Thread every Month..
In the Hope..
That someone suffering has a place to Vent, get some bearing back..
Or
Realize others are there right there Too.
