I buy eggs but I understand the cost issue. You could substitute it with whey or maybe beans/lentils, canned salmon, sardines, greek yogurt, cottage cheese.

Funny enough, my parents have egg layers and I get a few dozen here and there lol

I don't have eggs in my diet i keep my protein sources lean.
So instead of eggs I literally eat other protein and fat sources.

Same, no eggs. My protein is 99% chicken and whey, sometimes 93-7 ground turkey, but fat/protein ratio sucks, so I keep it rare.

I’ve been getting a great deal on eggs from the Cajun looking dude that lives down by the lake.

They’re sitting on a gold mine lol. But seriously those are about the best you could get. I had a bunch when my boys were growing up. We ate a dozen a day easily.

I bet there’s a lot more nutritional value in those home grown eggs. Probably thicker shells with more calcium because they aren’t forced into ovulation all the time with lutalyse or speed.

Those no comparison to free graze not bleached eggs compared to feed lot bleached eggs.

Why do you need 6 eggs a day? That is 30g of fat per day just from eggs. Why I keep eggs to 2 per, Vital Farms is $7 a carton so that comes out to $1 per day.

In the summer I get em from the farmers market. They sell em like $2.50 per dozen.

Real whole eggs from clean birds, fed properly are the most complete food.

There is no substitute. Cut other expenses and eat the eggs.

I just read it article where the FDA went to a chicken farm and threatened the guy with 3 billion dollars in fines. He had a certificate that was a week or two old, showing his flock was disease free... they gave him the option to kill the birds or pay the fines... so he had to kill a couple hundred thousand birds. Thanks Joe Biden!
