I have to ask! What is one of the dumbest questions that you have been asked about working out?

I work in an industry with a lot of drivers. Local sort but long hours, 12 - 16 hours days. Very sedentary jobs. All of them that know me, know that I work out. In the last three weeks I have had 6 guys come to me and ask," Why can't I see my abs, I work them 3 days a week". Now this might not be a completely stupid question, but just as a estimate, I would say that not a single one of the guys that have come to me have been less than 30% bodyfat. To me that makes this a very dumb question.

tell them they have abs just need to get rid of the 20% excess fat covering it and than they’ll see it:

I get asked all the time..."man how can I loose weight fast"lol..1st I tell them it's simple,& there is no such thing as magic,discipline & consistency...eat less calories more cardio/exercise stop sodas & potato chips etc..most try & give up sooner than later,I don't know when or how the world git so lazy,I wasn't raised that way.

Why can't I bench more while standing in front of me with noodle arms. As soon as I mention accessory work they get a blank face. Its amazing how many people think arms have nothing to do with barbell bench.

Dumbest question ever is I bet I could take steroids and look just like you. "Guy is usually 150" and never lifted a day in his life.
I tell these idiots,steroids will not get u out of bed at 4 am consistently, it won't make u train smart,it also make u eat right,etc etc.but ...you kno the rest

Haha, I've been working out at the same gym for little over a year now.

One time this guy came up to me and was like I'm going to look like you in 6 months. I laughed and said good luck man. Maybe 150 skinny fat.

Lol, I seen this mother fucker yesterday and he's fat as fuck! Laughed my ass off. He's definitely my wight just a different kind of weight haha.

the most common and dumbest question I hear is “so what’s the secret”?
I am like you don’t see me here at 3 am on the Treadmil for one hour and than busting my ass on the weights while you are chatting, laughing, on your phone, taking pictures of yourself?

@Wiseguy - my typical response is " they are here but until you drop weight you will not see them"
@Seattlesbest - that the most frustrating part- you give these guys the information that they need to make a life choice and they still take the road most traveled and eat like shit and expect things to just change.
@Jbswole40 - yeah its all "Magic", When I tell guys that I get up at 2am, the first thing they say is "Oh I can't do that!", I say "Yes you can, you just have to train yourself to do it". Its just like eating healthier. My schedule is screwed just like theirs. Sometimes I'm in my lab but 70% of the time I'm on job sites. My food goes with me. I always make sure I have a lot of water because cold rice sucks and sometimes that's the only way to get it down but I still do it, cold potatoes are not as bad.

It's simple,how bad do you want it,are you willing to push limits,put in the work,most guys see results on others,but don't really see or even know what it takes...

This is absolutely true. Most guys want it but don’t have the fortitude to achieve it. That’s when they start making excuses. There is always something. A lot of they it is, oh I can’t eat good doing this kind of job. But that’s bull crap. They are at the plant after every load they haul so on average once every two hours. That’s pretty damn good odds you can heat up and eat your food. I get stuck on sites and may be there all day but I make damn sure I have my food and I’ll eat it cold if I have to. It has the same macros whether it’s heated or not. As you said, the big difference is how bad do you want it.

So true,that not being able to eat right excuse is b.s..if u want to eat like an asshole just admit it .lol..I work hr from home,everyday I leave house with...eggwhites,juice,iso,rice,chicken,turkey etc..nuts,oats..I have my macros laid out,all there is to do is eat it..
