Not big on posting shots with my shirt off but oh well. Just took this one.

This thread has forced me to look at myself and my goals. Ive been skipping cardio and just trying to bulk up. Thats all changing tonight. Cardio cardio cardio.

Did you see signs of having good genetics as a kid or didn't know you had them until after putting a lot of work in?

i wouldn't say i have good natural genetics. meaning doing nothing and looking athletic like a lot of my friends did when i was a kid.
but give me some juice, good diet and train 3-4 days a week and I turned into looking like a bodybuilder pretty easily.
now take one of those components away , say juice.. i look athletic and muscular but just smaller and not as round and full.
155lbs vs say 20-25 lbs heavier with the same low body fat .

at this point i been doing it so long continuously... i can take a month or 2 off
the gym and eat a half ass diet and stay at say 75%. if i tighten my diet up totally and train 3 days a week i can maintain
175 lbs at say 7 % bf year round which i normally do .. which at any point i could be ready for a show in less than a month.

i think the key to getting the results you want is first getting ripped, no matter what, then you add the size and you can stay lean.
for many years i did like everyone else , which is backwards. then about 6 years ago i learned the right way.
unless you are trying to be mr olympia , i see no reason to ever get big and puffy. lean always looks 10x better
