Get Shredded!
I just found out that my wife filed a counterclaim after i served her divorce papers. The secretary couldn’t tell me much, if anything at all. Any idea what this means?

It’s just a legal response to your divorce petition. You had to fill out some paperwork and answer questions for your reasoning to petition for divorce. Her legal right is to go do the same thing. This way, when you guys go to court, her responses are already legally noted like yours are. It’s nothing major, she is just covering herself.

The plus side to this is, now you’ll know exactly what she will say about you. She can’t change her answers now, since everything you sign your name to is sworn in oath.

Hey bro.

We talked about this a long time ago.

Instead of covering your tracks, she’s got more shit on you. Probably more then you know.

While you thought you were having fun fucking her, she was fucking you. And now she’ll have fun.

Probably has you in check mate.

Going to be a rough ride.

Maybe hire a private investigator to dig up dirt on her. Get lucky and find something to leverage against her. It’s a long shot.

The crap she and her lawyer will say, OMG.

I remember when I got divorced, I gave my ex everything Bc it was amicable and I wanted my freedom. I knew I could just replace “stuff.”

After giving her everything, judge at the finally says to her, “so is that all that you want?”

Lol.

At that moment I learned the courts are geared for the women as far as divorce.

Idk why.

One thing I have learned with this stuff, be as friendly as you can. Even if it’s killing you inside. Especially when they have the upper hand.

But it is probably too late for that here.

Pray she gets hit by a bus or something.

It is standard procedure for both parties to file their own petition if they each have their own lawyer. Be cordial and cooperative with your ex, especially if you have kids. Divorces come down to assets and child custody. All the he said she said, someone cheated or is abusive etc. is all here say. Best to just follow the worksheets. You also don't get what you don't ask for. If you have kids and want to be involved, ask for 50% custody. If you have the earnings and a decent place and no record of abusing them it will likely be granted, but you have to ask in your petition or subsequent modifications.

I've been married two times for a total of 27 years. I had kids with both and when I divorced each one, I got custody of the kids in each marriage. That being said, I am very good if not best friends with both ex's.

You may be right you may be wrong. As of now though this is still a uncontested divorce with me being assigned the primary guardian. We’ll see if anything changes with the whole incident over the weekend… definitely preying for a bus though.

The guy at the desk in the court said I won’t be blind sided snd if she’s going to contest the divorce I would be notified.
