Brother, they aren’t fighting for veterans. They are fighting for their jobs and careers in that self-licking isce cream cone.

This is the truth -I lost a kidney in 1970 over in the jungle and came home to people spitting on us and hating . To this day I want ZERO to do with the VA or any of them .They dont give a flying fuck about injured vets - just their jobs .There were guys over there that should have NEVER been there .Fucked with their brain big time . I was lucky and do pretty well without any help - others not so lucky .

if you served then you deserve, get rated and they will cover your health you dont have to use the va clinics and get your meds for free, plus other benefits. why should people who did nothing or walk across the border get treated better than you

you’re right. I would be equivalent to like 260% disabled. But I have 3 combat deployments in the infantry and have a ton of injuries. I am now 100% permanent and total disabled. That how they word it. But you can have 4-5 injuries that are each 30% and only be getting 70 percent disabilit

I am at 70% now with five injuries. But I have just passed the three year mark trying to get my sleep apnea service connected. The PACT Act changed nothing. Lawyers drag it out because they get paid on back pay.
It definitely started on deployment in 2006-07 and have several “buddy letters” stating so. Of the list of AHOBP locations I have been on at least seven.
Meanwhile, my brothers in other areas of the States get their shit rated in a few months.
The struggle sucks.

Appreciate it - but at almost 72 years old I have done just fine without and think I will just stay that way. Plus -there are guys that probably guys that need it more than me

I felt the same way that others probably need it more than me, but we are not talking about a free meal, we are talking about health benefits and compensation that you earned with your service, guarantee people on welfare or illegally here will collect all they can without a second thought to your sacrifice or stoic outlook. liberal politicians might thank you for the money youre saving so they can give free college to illegals in new york

VA lawyers suck bro. I did mine all myself. I did all of the appeals and finally got it to 100 %

There are people who scam the system and fuck them. Because of them it took me almost 20 years to swallow pride and admit i had issues that i should have claimed. I always felt I would be one of them because in most part I function decently. When it comes down to it my ptsd, cancer and asthma are things that happened while or because i was in. The asthma i may have always had.

I dont think in the states eyes im disabled. Honestly i have not checked but the problems dont stop me from a career. I just have issues i deal with to maintain said career.

I read the article off Facebook and from what i gathered it was never anything brought to the table just a committee saying hey this is where you could save money. It happens almost every year.
