Currently running my first cycle of Test E 300mg/week, I have had elevated BP in the past but typically nothing over 140/80. Right now I’m running about 150/80 and I’m starting to get concerned, I’ve got some SB labs high octane which is 20 mg cialis and 50 mg viagra per pill. I’ve been taking a quarter pill daily but it doesn’t appear to be doing the trick… would it be wise to bump up the dosage to half a pill? Im
About to order some carditone as well. I’d prefer not to abort my first cycle one month in but it’s certainly not worth my heart health if I can’t get my BP under control.

Carditone will help. Mostly I read that cialis at 5-10mg per day can help. I may also suggest taking some NO2 supps. They have helped me in the past. This includes also taking a super beets powder or supp to increase NO2. This has worked for me.

I also think that stress support supps can also help lower BP. My BP spikes are usually stress related for me.

However, all these considered, all these things take time. I went to my dr and got a prescription for 10mg Lisinopril. This has helped. I can literally stop taking this prescription when I’m off cycle and just rely on supps.

You may also find a sponsor on the board who has meds like Lisinopril or Telmisartan.

Good luck! Be safe!

I appreciate the response, looking into Beet powder now!

Carditone and cialis 5 mg per day spot on

GREEN TEA & BEETROOT POWDER.
Viagra will temp lower it followed by a sharp increase. Dangerous. Its one of the main warnings on Viagra.
Cialis works but you will need to continually take it.
Address the SOURCE of the issue with natural options.
Definitely going to stay away from the High Octane if that’s the case, I was originally only looking to get cialis but ended up with the combo because I needed to hit the min order requirement. I’m about to go and pick up some beer root powder right now, I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for some green tea while I’m there. Thanks for the response.

Dont buy the stuff marketed for "sports".
Get bulk organic beetroot powder. Pipingrock.com is a great source.

What's the reasoning for staying away from the sports marketed stuff?
this is what I ended up getting.

I'm open to other brands for sure, but $16 is definitely worth some peace of mind while i'm waiting for a package to be delivered.

I certainly like the bulk prices on the website you recommended (y)

Gotta agree with FARMATON on the last comment. Brother, you need to try to identify the source of your hypertension to better combat the negative effects it will have on your life. BP is the silent killer and can do irreversible damage to blood vessels.

I know when my BP rises sharply cause me ears will get hot and turn red. This o identified as a high stress response. I take a few things to manage stress and anxiety that are natural and not prescribed.

Try to identify these spikes so you can better identify causes. Even taking test with the potential water retention can raise BP. So look at all factors. Check your diet and sodium intake. If you believe it’s brought on by or partially by stress let me know and I’ll share what I’ve been using. It works for me and I feel less stressed about everything.

Also if you use tobacco or nicotine-STOP.

I've stopped pretty much all nicotine intake for the most part, I'll have a hit or two off a vape occasionally its just hard when everyone around you is an addict... As far as the source its hard to tell, aside from running the test obviously. Was diagnosed with sleep apnea last year, for reference I'm in my mid 20's and was 180 at the time relatively lean. I assumed that was the cause of my higher BP and I've since had 2 surgeries to correct it, I'm definitely sleeping better but the BP effects from it may be long lasting or permanent if that was the cause.

I do think I can be prone to stress often especially about my BP right now lol... I'd love to hear what you do personally to help manage stress and anxiety.

I have run a high BP my entire life. 145/85 or so has been the average since my teenage years. Weight never changed it. Diet never changed anything. Exercise, stress, etc had no real effect on my BP.

When I blew up and gained a ton of fat, my BP was still the same. My Dr placed me on a BP med to make sure it didn't spike. We both expected my BP to drop, but it didn't.

About 6 months into TRT my hemocrit level hit 56. I didn't need a blood test to know my heart was pumping syrup. My BP was 166/120 for about two weeks. I was miserable.

I donated blood and my BP went down for about two weeks, then it was back to ridiculous levels. I have started donating monthly and my BP is an average of 130/80 give or take.

Like others have said, find the root cause.

Very insightful, do you know what your hemocrit levels were pre TRT? I just checked my blood work and my hemocrit was at 47.6% pre cycle, based off private MD the range is 38.5-50 so I started at the higher end of the spectrum anyways

Mine were always at the higher end before TRT, but normal. I will know in a couple weeks where I stand again. I maintain a high iron level due to my diet. I eat a lot of red meat.

1) I take 4500mg Ashwagandha split into 3 doses throughout the day, morning, mid day, evening.

2) 200mg L-Theanine mid day

3) 200mg 5-HTP evening

4) 120mg Ginkgo Biloba in the morning

5) 650mg Choline Bitartrate mid day

The quickest and most noticeable was when I started the Ashwagandha. These are all good to help manage stress and fight against cortisol. It is also important to be able to center yourself and bring yourself down from what has you stressed. For that I learned how to meditate many years ago. I say meditate but mostly this consists of deep prayer and controlled breathing.

Good luck!

I do enjoy Ashwaghanda and Ginko. Lots of great benefits.

Many thanks brother! I’ll give this routine a shot

I don't know too much about blood pressure.

Is a 10 point raise is really a lot?

Do you use? If you do, it sounds like you need new surroundings. Not trying to be a dick. I couldn't live around people who use. Living surrounded by constant triggers is not setting yourself up for success.

My BP was through the roof all the time before trt, it runs in the family. I was on 2 different medications and still was high a lot. I use to have a couple beers after work and a lot more on the weekends. Then I started trt and 5mg cialis, changed my diet and only have a few beers on the weekends. The cialis made a huge difference and ended up dropping one of the meds. The trt and cialis helped a lot, the the diet and the not drinking so much has improved my BP and quality of life so much its unbelievable in so many ways. I just have to quit smoking now. My body just does not agree with alcohol no matter the amount at all since I got older. My ears and face would get red also if I was stressed but the trt has almost eliminated that. Hope it works out for you. I'm still on propranolol but I even cut that in half. The pump is crazy on cialis also if taken a hour before workout, plus my girl is a lot happier also.

It’s not too big of a deal I’ve got plenty of self constraint haha. I’ve also never really had an issue abusing nicotine. Just to clarify i was talking about nicotine not hard drugs! Calling them addicts was an exaggeration.

Simply price imo, I see beetroot powder being sold in 1/2lb containers for 49.99... "Nitro-Whatever XYZ"
Thats $100/lb.
Vs like $10-20 if you just buy it as organic beetroot powder.
I just posted about this recently on another thread. Its the same product just marketed & packaged differently.

Why take 5 different supplements hoping to lower bp, just go to dr. They love putting people on bp meds,
I do 40mg of telmisartan evey night.
Has like 23 hour half life so helps all day, Cialis might lower bp for a few, but wont control in 24 hour periods.
Also bp meds are cheap as hell.
I also do take 5mg.a day Cialis, but not for bp control

I agree with you on this, and I will certainly go to the doctor post cycle. Just can’t risk going right now and have them combing through my bloodwork… due to my occupation

I do not disagree with what you are saying. I also finally went to my dr to get a medical opinion and am on 10mg Lisinopril ED. Works really well and I’m not afraid of taking it for the rest of my life if needed. I can cut my dose in half when off cycle.

My BP spikes are usually stress related and I have found supps that help me to control stress which also helps manage high cortisol levels. High cortisol is also detrimental to trying to stay healthy and build muscle which is the goal of most on the forum.

However, there are many people who want no part of being on BP meds the rest of their lives. There are some supps out there that can help control BP. Still it is most important to find the source and if it’s hereditary than it’s likely time to see the dr.

Brother you don’t need bloodwork to determine high BP. Also most bloodwork needs a request for things outside of a normal panel which do not normally include total test, free test, or E2.

You should be fine to speak with you dr about it. Trust me I also have a career that doesn’t allow for cycling either. Better to get ahead of it than to try to push thru a cycle that kills you.

Get a good BP monitor and use it as a tool to the difference in BP throughout the day or at min take once per day to put a log together for your dr. Make sure you take it 3xs and average your numbers.

I've got a BP monitor and check daily, my BP is lower than what it was yesterday thankfully. I think I may have just been stressing myself out and inducing higher BP... Still skeptical about seeing the doctor though, he could pull a comprehensive panel blood panel just as easily as writing a script for some BP meds if he wants to see the bigger picture. I'm still waiting on my carditone to come in so i'll so where that gets me in combination with beet root, and green tea.

I cannot see the future however a common panel to check bloodwork doesn’t include total test, free test, and E2. There would be no point in looking at those markers unless he/she was suspicious of AAS usage. These additional tests cost money and if not normally required for diagnosis than insurance can turn it down.
It’s worth a conversation with your dr. You can always decline bloodwork if your dr wants it.

didn't see this when I responded earlier lol... but yeah a 10 point bump is pretty significant when you're already rather high to begin with
