Get Shredded!
Why are most guys saying you should be below a certain % bf to run a cycle?

Blood pressure/Heart stuff?

General Health?

Kind of like if you have a piece of shit car, you dont want to be running it wide open until you get it fixed up and running right?

Pretty broad question but depending on your goals and what you’re looking to accomplish I would say you should be no higher than 15%. That’s just my opinion. I know there are guys with higher body fat percentages that are running gear. Just like you said though why run it wide open with loose seals and gaskets?

If they are guys you know, they don't squat. So a powerlifter has to be a certain percentage to cycle? A football player, and on and on? Think a little before you ask. That's really assine.

I just see time after time guys on this forum saying you really should be under 15% body fat. See it over and over. Just wondering if them saying that is based off any scientific data, or just bro science.

You are in a better state to partition nutrients the leaner you are.

The reason to cycle is to gain size for the beginner. You need more food to do that. If you're fat, you won't utilize the food as well and add more fat then you would if you are leaner.

Simply put. Science and bro science

I gotcha. Thanks for the info.

So if someone with a bit higher bf leaned out their diet, eating mainly protien, long acting carbs, & very low fat and if they did eat fat, make sure its mainly medium chain fats, would that help the proposed issue?

Fixed.

High protein is a waste and counter productive.

I weigh 205 pounds ATM and my daily protein is 185 grams, less than one gram per pound of body weight

It's all going to depend on the individual.

Like skip doesn't do higher protein while I do. I also do minimal carbs based on my body type with higher fats. If I reduce my protein below 1.25-1.5g per lb, I start to shrivel up quickly unless, I'm pounding carbs no matter the fats.

Some guys who have generally faster metabolisms can use more carbs with lower fats and get results but, if you're already fat, it would be a pretty tricky balancing act to have higher carbs in the plan.

You'll have to try different things and experiment.

I think in part, some guys will say that bc taking gear at a higher bf percentage is kinda a waste. IMO if you are like most, and are taking gear to look better and not merely as a performance enhancer, taking gear at a higher bf won't achieve this...

You end up that guy at the gym that is "big" and stronger but looks like shit at 20% bf bc he is doing a constant "dirty bulk."

Take gear at 10 to 12% bf and the results are pronounced visually.

Why is high protein counter productive? I can understand it being a waste bc your body can only absorb so much of it.

Basically yes, my body absorbs only so much, when I was consuming 300 grams of protein per day I got bloated.

We can only process so much and it becomes a waste and inefficient use of macos when protein is too high.

I have a higher metabolism so moderate carbs and fats are fine.

No keto for me.

That’s a fuck load of Tren! Tren does have an amazing ability to help cut you up! I’d say you should work up to that kinda dosage though. I wouldn’t immediately hop into 500mg of Tren

Yeah lol, I just started my first cycle, 500mg per week test c. Gonna get a few blasts under my belt before I even think about trying tren. I'm just doing cardio 3-4 days a week and lifting 6 days a week. Have dropped 10 lbs in about 2 weeks so far, and my strength is for sure going up. I'm making sure not to push myself too hard bc I'm trying to avoid injury, but fuck man, AAS are amazing, Ive been on a plateau for a long as time as far as strength and I'm just shitting on personal records easy peazy, but still working my ass off.

I'm also coming off suboxone too, I was taking a shit ton of pain meds from a car wreck back in 2012 where I fucked up back and neck, so I'm kind of changing one addiction for another, but I think this is probably much healthier of a lifestyle than being on opiates all the time and shit.

I did have a bit of bloating but I ramped up my AI a bit and its starting to shed.

BROTHER! I am very happy to hear that you are getting off Suboxone. I am in recovery from Heroin addiction. I took suboxone to try and get off dope. Just made things even worse. Didn’t work at all. Suboxone is a devil drug.

Just curious, what is your diet like? You tracking macros?

AAS is amazing indeed man. I’ve switched from one addiction to “another”. Someone said it in another thread but he said, “Staying clean 1ml at a time!”

Right on man, I got into that shit for about a week, and thats when I decided I had gone too far and got on sub, its not for everyone, but its kept me off everything, and I started out at 16mg a day, and I'm down to 2mg a day, cutting dose in half each month, I know the WD's are gonna suck ass, but I'm just gonna train thru it, grit my fucking teeth and just get it!

My diet consist of no dairy, gluten, shit like that. I eat a lot of veggies, eggs, meats, only drink water and black coffee in the morning. I dont really track macros, I'm learning how, but still dont have it down. I am counting calories though, and making sure to eat healthy. I'm eating 200 cal below deficit, any less and I get kind of grumpy, which isnt worth it to me, I'm a single full time dad with a 3 yo so I cant be mean to her lol.

Agreed, I'm only 2.5 weeks in and I've never felt better. I also found out I have low t, so having some test in my system probably explains that. None the less, fuck man, I'm just high on life, I'm having a shit ton of fun getting it in.

I saw that Staying Clean 1ml at a time, thought that was pretty awesome!

Thats awesome you got off the dope too brother. It was controlling every aspect of my life, its a great feeling kicking that shit and getting your life back.

My only issue with Tren is by week 9 my attitude becomes very intense because I literally think I am IT lol. Takes MATURITY to handle the neuropsychosocial alterations caused by androgens

unlike montego, I run my carbs sky high, usually 3g/lb of mass and keep my protein at about 2g/lb of mass with minimal fats when building mass. I have a very high metabolism, the carbs an absolute necessity. This past fall I did a high carb/fat combo for the first time and while the results didn't change much, how i felt day to day drastically improved with the increased fats. usually my fats are sub-40g/day when putting on weight but during the time period i'm speaking of i was hitting around 160g of fat a day on top of 660g/carbs/day. We're all different in how our bodies respond to our diets and that's why good coaches can recognize how a person responds and adjust accordingly.
