OP. it's been nice talking to you. tell your family you love them and have enjoyed your life. continue to take your monster pump with above stroke level BP numbers and go workout. Before you die, set up a gofund me account and let us know what it is so maybe we can help your family out. Or, get your dumbass into the ER

Ok you've had your poke but I have to work hard to take care of my family. I'm a disabled veteran & have alot of injuries. I can't pay the bills off of VA disability. My dad was a cowboy he got out of bed & worked everyday no matter how he felt & us kids did the same that's how we were raised. I'm on bp meds now but unsure if I'll stay with this one because I feel dizzy. All tests of my heart are good. The cardiologist thinks I had rhabdo but I don't buy that because I stay in good shape & do basically the same workout with slight tweaks from time to time to make it a little or less challenging. I'll be posting labs soon.

First thing they go to; rhabdo. If rhabdo was based on feelz I have a terminal case of it.

I was using enalipril for the last week. It made me feel shitty. I just bought ramipril and will start using it again.
Wanna guess which is more expensive and which get prescibed more? The VA is a great thing if you have productive dialogue with your physician and are proactive to the point of annoying. A good doctor enjoys the challenge. The lazy fuckers go the easy route.

What does “all tests of my heart are good” mean anyway. Blood tests? Far from enough.

Echo cardiogram showed thinking of the heart walls. But the cardiologist didn't seem to concerned about it he attributes it to long term hypertension & may or may not shrink some. The heart isn't enlarged. Ekg showed a little variance with an st depression but the cardiologist said this is nothing to be concerned about now considering I'm in shape & active. The nuclear stress test on a tread mill elevated with my hr at 146 & diastolic bp was 110 showed n abnormalities. Ct scan & x ray all good. My ck & calcium were up although they said I was dehydrated. They basically admitted they couldn't find anything wrong so he just said it was rhabdomyolysis because of my workout. 50 squats, 10 pull-ups, 50 push-ups, 1 min plank & 50 push ups. For 10 sets he thinks that's extreme. I do that in 45 mins. He's a old man who doesn't appear to exercise so in his mind he thinks that's too much. I never feel tired after the workout I feel energized & ready for the day. I'll post my bloods below but they didn't do a hormone screen. This is why I don't like or trust Dr's unless they actually want help you & listen.

Well that looks like all isn’t so good. When tests come back unremarkable, that is good. Thinning of the heart wall due to long term hypertension didn’t concern him?!? Most athletes have thickening of heart walls.

Dude, you should be 100% focused on reducing your blood pressure and getting into the best health you can. I don’t know if I would even suggest weight training other than some reptitive circuit traing type stuff…plus cardio, of course.

Man, I hope you take all of the admonitions here seriously.

Here are some numbers like I said they didn't run a hormone panel. My calcium, ck are high but the Dr said he's seen ck above 10,000. My cardiac enzymes were high but they ruled out any cardiac event. Idk I think a pcp needs to dig deeper.

You may want to ensure your screenshots/pictures uploaded have any personally identifiable information removed my good sir.

His kidneys failed after years of blood pressure that high.

High BP is one of the two main causes of kidney failure, and it doesn't take years. You could have acute kidney failure in days or weeks, followed by chronic kidney failure, which has no cure. You don't want to be on dialysis.

BP can easily be monitored..and controlled usually by some lifestyle adjustments, cutting things back and cardio..before it gets Critical..

Once Critical..
1..get pressure down..ASAP
2..start medication to gain immediate control and Stabilize..
3..a hard look at everything..come up with a plan
4..make adjustments and continue monitoring..Until numbers are more favorable..

Z...

Follow up. I went to the hospital after the post was admitted me for 2 days. My ck, calcium, & cardiac enzymes but they really never found out why. I'm not bp meds now & cialis seems to help a little more. My levels have normalized. Kidneys are good to go. Alt & ast are slightly elevated I'm taking glutathione now. I feel much better. Eating clean & keeping my sodium down, cut my coffee down to 1 cup a day. Drinking alot of water. I'll see my pcp tomorrow. All the heart tests were unremarkable except the echocardiogram which shows lvh. But they really had no explanation for elevated cardiac enzymes. Been working out & feel fine.

People... Like myself.... have High BP from genetics.
I have had high BP since I was in my early teens and on my 1st BP med at 17 yrs old... no gear and in very good cardiovascular shape from racing Motocross.
My father is on 3 different BP meds and Im on 2 different meds too.. Lisinopril and Metroponol.
So no... you cant fix BP issues by yourself if your genetics are like this.
Truth and listen to this man. I'm the recipient of bp issues from both parents side. In High School I was in decent shape playing basketball and baseball. During a sports physical they took my BP it was 160/100. Everytime the nurse would take it at school it was around the same reading. They tried all kinds of tests. Everything was fine with no issues. Finally I did get on a beta blocker " 50 mgs of Atenolol" after I finished school which dropped it to consistently around 130/85. So no if you are genetically disposed to have high BP fixing it naturally doesn't usually work.

I typed that incorrectly above. I'm on bp meds now was amlodipine but it started causing a little fluid in my feet, so my pcp switched me to liprinosil. I'll see that'll work!

I re read the comments and can't find anything mentioned about clonidine. I've taken it before when my bp was like that dudes and helped me. But now I am on lisinopril I'm good on cruises it's usually blast that drive my bp up anything over 350mg a week and my bp is up
