I agree with some. Some sources go bad that's a fact, but when they do we as a community stick together, at least used too. Mods are here to keep things in check and it's not an easy job, and I think for the most part, most are good. Clear out farva and others we know are pos, and I think the board will come back. Bottom line is this forum is here to advertise for sources to get clients ( us ) and without the forum as a middle man, we'd have to go they shady websites and the back pages of MD. that being said, it's us, the members, looking out for each other that makes it work. When a source goes bad, wether it's mine, unlisted, MM, if that happens we stick together. We let people know. If I see a source go bad, I get proof and report it silently. Then when verified by heavy or mods then I come out with it in public. I don't bash, I find proof if I can and if I can't I stay away from said source.

lastly, all us vets have had wars with each other. We are going to disagree on some things, but having an intelligent conversation without attacking is the right way to do things. I haven't always done that here, and that's my bad, but I try to. I try not to get involved unless the board as a whole is threatened. That's not good for any of us. I think we all can agree on that. We have to clean out the members that aren't good. Imo.

You cant fix this mess..Shit runs downhill & will continue to until the main man decides he wants a decent forum or a consistant shit show..

Hard to fix something when ya cant keep the trash out ...Banning is pointless ..Anyone banned can come right back & laugh at it ..

Banned or scammer sources can come back under a new label

Its a fix that cant be fixed unless extra tought & money go into finding ways to keep the trash out...

Once that happens maybe there will be meaning to a ban & scammers,,gimmicks,, cocky pricks & shit stirrers might think twice about their actions..

I dont see many options really ,,but whats happened in the past couple yrs has done nothing but make things worse & stir up more shit imho..

Labels seems to cause alot of tension around here ,,same with the real world..Remove all labels..Most everyone here is here for the same reason ...Let everyone that is come together & decide whats best for this place...The owner doesnt give a fuck as long as sources are payin him..

Look, unfortunately, no matter what you say or what you do, someone's going to be a little bitch about it and run their mouth.

I'd just hand out bans left and right, but like you said, gimmicks will just come back and stir more shit. Honestly, some people just don't have a fucking life; there's gimmicks around, aren't too hard to spot.

I personally see a lot of shit I don't like, that I don't agree it but you know what? I don't fucking cry about it or go on antagonizing other members or threaten people. I see things every day that I don't agree with. But you know what? I keep it to myself. This applies to life in general. HOLY SHIT, life exists outside of ASF?!

Sure. That's kind of my point. Split the two. Don't let Mods rep for Labs. The Mods should be picked by us. Now if you want to be a Super Rep or whatever you want to call it then go ahead, but you won't have the power to enforce rules on the board. Idk, this place is about as curroupt as the government and this would never happen. It was just a thought.

Mods picked by the members is what was wrong with a good number of boards that popped up just a few years back. Friends of friends that have no concept of what it means to be a mod. This is not a popularity contest, but that's what you seem to want to make it.

You can be around for years, making tons of friends only to lose half of them when you become a mod. You will no doubt be put in a situation where two people that consider you their friend but also have a problem. One will feel vindicated and the other will suddenly become not so much a friend because you didn't aire on their side.

Becoming a mod and dealing with any situation.. you need to throw friendships out the window and make your judgement on facts alone.

Which leads to another thing.. there are three sides to any given situation.. member 1's, member 2's and somewhere in the middle, the real truth. It's the mod's job to seek out that truth as both members will leave out points in the situation that may cast a bad light on themselves.. so they don't menation that part.
So to vote on who is popular with you at the time would be a huge mistake that really won't work and never has.

Mods in general would rather not ban a single member. No matter what others might think.

If everyone followed the rules set forth by the admins/owners/mods.. then it would be fair to say that the only people that would be banned are spammers.

Reps.. that's a deal that you and a source make on your own and has nothing to do with the site. You try to help the other members is what I seen being said.. great, thank you, but remember, you entered into a paid agreement with that source to do that very thing. If that agreement fails, that's really on you and the way you set up to be compensated by your work.
When this breakdown does occur, I see a lot a trash talking about the source which leads to all the friends of the rep piling on. Which then no longer becomes about the rep not being paid, but the source now seems to be selling trash gear and a whole array of problems.. all in an attempt to cast doubt in everyone's minds about the source..
It's then that these members force the staff to get involved. When you start trashing a source with huge embellishments all because your buddy didn't get paid or was fired from his rep job.. the staff has to get involved. Banning may happen.. the rules of the forum were blatantly broken.

It's not something the staff wishes to do.
Not to mention the fact that the staff will catch hell no matter what is decided. Either by those who may be involved or by those that just live to just create chaos.

So if you think this is a job for you, by all means, try and start your own board and see just how long before your so called friends change.

I personally don't have "friends" on here nor do I have the illusion that I really know who these people are. I just see it as if it's not working tear it down and build it back up again. If someone is worried about loosing friends then being a mod is not right for them. If members pick mods based on popularity and not character then you get what you wanted. Idk how to fix this. These are just my personal thoughts and honestly this place has changed a lot since I've been here and I don't see it changing back anytime soon. I was just throwing ideas out there. I'm here for the knowledge and blood results and to have a good time. I'll craw back under my keyboard now and take a time out.
