This might be considered a shitpost but hear me out.

My gym recently got one of those hip thrust contraptions. The one that’s like a seatbelt and load weight on and you’re humping the air.

Since programming these, my stiff legged deadlift has improved, especially the lockout portion. I’m wondering if any of you do hip thrusts as I only see the ladies using it at my gym and I think dudes are missing out on a lot of potential benefits because it looks like an awkward movement.

Personally, I love this movement now. After 3 sets, my glutes are pumped and I feel like a silverback gorilla walking around the gym. Honestly, i walk circles around the gym on purpose afterward so the people can glance at me wondering what I did to get these cheeks.

A gay man 240 lbs, came out of nowhere and tried to force me to be a power bottom.

Definitely be careful around that machine don't get that donk too big. You're attracted a gay man that you won't be able to fight off.

The gooch sweat mark I leave on benches is borderline disrespectful. It looks like my water broke. It is what it is though, I'm one of the few who wipes down equipment after I'm done. A few weeks ago a girl asked to work in with me on the seated leg curl and I'm like "ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT?" I get off the bench to wipe it down for her and she's like nevermind, I'll come back.

Yea, I thought so.

I got one for the home gym mostly for the wife, I’m pretty hip dominant in my squat so I don’t use it much.

Bigger challenge for me is targeting quads.

I would say that i can't blame some one for having good taste. But 30+ years ago after my first BB show they judges told me i had the complete package except i had no ass. I specialized on hips and glutes for years they had there own day, wish the hip thrust was a thing back then. My quads over powered everything. Only got a moderate ass. And now that i am an old man well..................

Wish I had that problem..after breaking lower back and destroy my knees.quads serious lacking .calves huge..anyways work in progress (always)

Grab a chick, or your chick, or some dudes chick and eat a Cialis and hip thrust her into another dimension brother. All jokes aside though, I’ve done hip thrusts with a barbell, it’s great when you want to throw like 6 plates on each side and have the gym just watch you rail the iron off of that bar.

You try playing around with your squat stance?
After 50 years of lifting weights. From the best info i have seen from EMG studies the glutes are activated the most when the hip is best around 105 degrees. But arthritic these days negates that.
