Get Shredded!
I'm 45 years old been hitting the gym every day and not that I'm not happy with my gains just would like to maximize them. So I had blood work done and it looks like my estrogen is high advice?

516 Test and 38 Estrogen look good. If your looking to cycle I’d recommend:

12 weeks 500mg Test E or C
AI on hand taken when needed
PCT 2 weeks after last shot

AI I would recommend Aromasin
PCT I would recommend Nolva 40/40/20/20

@Multislacking can you help this fella out? Also, should I tag anyone else? I always see you fixing these kinds of posts so I instantly go to tag you 😆

Yes former heavy drinker!
I would not touch anything until you get those numbers down. Numbers that high usually mean you have hepatitis or severe liver damage and it’s hypotoxic. I’m not a Dr. but I would definitely see about that before adding gear because it can affect your liver as well. Especially any oral steroid.

Your ALT/AST are monster numbers. I have fatty liver disease myself and am under the care of a GI doc. Have you had a CT on your liver? Chances are very good you have a nodular/scarred liver.
No oral AAS, no alcohol, exercise and maintain a healthy weight, TRT ONLY at best, but honestly your test isn’t low enough to justify it

Imma focus on hitting the gym and laying off the booze and get tested again in a month and see if I can get them to drop! I'm hoping the vodka I had consumed a couple hours prior caused those numbers to be inflated?

Not to be rude at all, but I think you need to focus on your health and take a good hard look at your drinking before you even consider visiting this idea. Those numbers are dangerously high not just some vodka the night before type numbers. I was a heavy drinker for 15 years and went on a 10 month binder of almost 2 fifths a day of Grey Goose and my numbers were not even a third of that. I would definitely see a specialist. Best of luck.

Former heavy drinker…but drinking vodka a couple hours before a blood test seems like something a heavy drinker would say. All jokes aside, don’t make the mistake of shrugging off those numbers because you had something to drink before hand. Go get checked out.

The neck of the woods
Testosterone and estrogen levels would be the least of my concerns if I were you. Your test levels are actually good for a 45 year old, your estrogen is also fine. Your liver values however are alarming. They’re so alarming, that we’re not talking laying off the booze to see if you can run a cycle, we’re talking laying off the booze so you don’t die of liver disease. Go see a doctor. In your current state, anabolics are not in the books for you unless you want to die in your 40s and you’re 45. Making a lot of assumptions here, but you’ll more likely continue to drink on cycle.

I copy and pasted one for him without the name lol. Look at the ALT and AST

@Kyzie I have to agree with @Boykinben82 your ALT and AST are ridiculously high. This is definitely concerning. You say that you used to be a heavy drinker! My thoughts are that you need to get in to see your doc. Generally the primary cause of both elevated AST and ALT is Liver disease. And you can not just look at the elevations, you have to look at the ratios. If I remember correctly, an AST > ALT is usually an indication of Alcoholic Liver Disease but ALT > AST is usually an indication of Viral Hepatitis. Obviously I am not a doctor but there is reason for concern.

Go see a GI and get help, abdominal ultrasound at a minimum. They will check the blood flow to see if it’s going in the right direction, gall bladder and spleen. They will also measure your liver and report any deformities such as nodules. I just had this done a few weeks ago. My doc said I can’t have any alcohol and to lose weight. It’s the only therapy for fatty liver. They found this because I had increased reflux and did an endoscopy then the ultrasound. My ALT/AST has always been a little high but only by 5-10 points.

By former heavy drinker I meant looks like my drinking days are over! I guess that 30 years of a fifth of cheap vodka a day has taken its toll! I have never seen this scenario end pretty and mine is apparently worse! But I do feel like I did at 30! Everyone that I've seen in doctors care at least it's quick I guess! Though hardly any made changes their lifestyle! Or when they do quit it's way too late! Yes I may be an alcoholic if the fact that I couldn't stay sober 12 hours to take a damn test didn't clarify that not to you but for myself yes I'm over the cycle deal thanks to boykinben you folks and this forum i may get a few more years in me but I do believe that the doctors can't help me at this point it's up to me and I truly believe that there is no better medicine than a change in lifestyle and maybe looking for alternate means as to insure I stop drinking. I actually feel better than I have these past two months than my whole life and I can't let these numbers change that for me! Thank you everyone see I now understand the importance in being tested beforehand!

Get healthy brother. Drink a lot of water, eat healthy, stay active man. The liver is very resilient if you give it time to heal. Best of luck bro.

I had a CT scan done today on my abdomen and they found a mildly nodular liver. This isn’t good but it’s not a death sentence. I asked my GI doc if it would heal and he said “if you quit pissing it off”.

I stopped drinking completely 20 days ago and I don’t think I’ll ever drink again. I didn’t drink as much as you but I ate orals like skittles for many years. I have drank moderately for my adult life and never gave it a second thought.

Alcohol cessation wasn’t hard for me but for many it is. Get help if you need it. Talk to a doctor, counselor or whoever if you can’t do it on your own. Living with a damaged liver is possible and even if it’s cirrhotic you can extend your life by taking care of it.

I've been kinda lurking on this thread. Its great ta hear that you went and got checked out my friend and it sounds like you will be able to recover.

You are correct in saying to quit drinking alcohol can be very difficult for some....I have seen it first hand. I am glad you were able to do it relatively easy and with no withdrawals.

I wish you the best in your return to health.

Thank you.
I knew my liver had been taking a beating for a while. I was on the fence about quitting booze, this was just the motivation I needed. Stopping didn’t seem hard but maintaining it will be the real challenge. But faced with the alternative it’s the only choice. I’ve had a lot of good times and don’t feel like I’ll be missing out on anything in the future.

The causes of high estrogen in men may be complex and related to a variety of conditions. For some, it is related to age, as estrogen levels rise naturally with time. In others, obesity may play a role; since body fat contains aromatase, the additional fat leads to increased conversion of testosterone to estrogen. Have you speaking to your primary care or Endocrinology to determine the issue, Possible Estrogen blocker Arimidex .5mg EOD
