    Carb Deficit vs Carb Cycling

    With New Years around the corner and many of us wanting to cut or gain lean muscle, wanted to find out what method of carb management has worked best for you. Both plans have positive and negatives but am curious to know what you ASF brothers think.

    I was very successful in dropping extra weight and lower body fat % while being in a deficit but was also flat and lost additional muscle size. I have recently started to cycle and found that the body stays in a more consistent metabolic state and the muscles just seem more full. I know users like heavyiron have used carb cycling quite successfully.

    I like the carb cycling. Was big in deficit for a long time recently switched over to cycling and find my gym sessions are way more explosive and I'm at a constant ready to go pace. Although it's only week 1 I'm liking where I'm going thus far! Thanks for bringing this up Dutch looking forward to everyone else's thoughts

    Can you give an example? Do you consume low carbs for two days then load on the third?
