Clint Eastwood, what's the point here? America is facing some serious problems and we need leaders. I think it doesn't matter who wins this election, until we as a people learn to work together to solve some things nothing is going to change. Just another side show? Or is this what this country needs?
 
American politics went down the shitter. Doesn't even matter who you vote for given the choices we get. They are all the same asshole wrappped in a suit.

Honestly, that didn't even make all that much sense. I have a lot of respect for Clint Eastwood, but that was just weird. I guess national conventions are more about getting people fired up and less about substance. I mean, just listen to Romney's acceptance speech from last night :coffee:
 
His Dirty Harry days are certainly behind him. He should stick to acting/directing.
 
Most of Hollywood is full of liberals, this to me was an attempt to reach out and touch base with some....Clint could have done better, and perhaps the Republican party could have made a better choice but at least it wasn't "to" scripted.
They all Dems and Republicans have there agendas anyhow and are completely out of touch with middle America.

I really don't think so. The people who threw around conspiracies like "Obama's gonna make us socialist/communist/secretly muslim etc." look really stupid right now (as if they didn't look silly then). It's 4 years on and he was clearly none of those things. He's been just as friendly to Wall Street and big business as the republicans if anything.

^^ I agree about the "Muslim" "communist" part....but Obama wants nothing more then what Caleb said..an even playing field. Very little of what he sold to the American people during election as "change" has occurred. Unemployment nearly an all time high statistical, those on unemployment benefits are not looking or not taking possible jobs...and its been extended for those. He's soft on foreign policy,( which he lacked the knowledge to begin with). I'm just not a supporter of his at all, for various reasons.
And perhaps both sides should stop bailing out big business,( and not demanding repayment) sometimes we all have to suffer to grow strong again. I'm all for millionaires they keep me employed, but when there scared to invest there money to create/build things we all suffer.

Then again, it is the worst recession since the Great Depression. And it took humanity's deadliest war to pull us out of that one. The economy is slowly getting better, but it will take a long time, no matter who's in charge.

And people any side of the political aisle who think any president (Obama or Romney) will change America significantly are a little deluded, we have something called a congress, and them and lobbyists are the ones who make the laws, not the POTUS. And congress is a sack of shit (sorry to any friends who work on the hill).

IMO, he's been just fine with foreign policy. I think non-interference in the Middle East (except for killing Bin Laden of course :winkfinger:) and not making enemies is a great policy.

Everyone's got their own views though, and I respect that.
 
i won't vote for obama for 3 big reasons: he's a muslim, he's an illegal immigrant, he's black (and not a good black person like condi rice or colin powell who i would vote for)...
