Anyone take this or other BP meds? Experiences, pros and cons? Any adverse effects from taking with AAS? For instance, if SD increases your BP, would this be a good thing to counter it, or would it have a negative effect on your health?

Had my yearly check up with the Dr. I've never had an issue with BP, and my BP at her office was 132/90. I monitor it home and usually right around 120/80. She wants to start me on Lisinopril because she feels my BP is high. It also may have to do with my weight, which fluctuates between 260-275.

Jeez....132/90 and they're putting you on bp meds? If you're 120/80 typically, I can't really see starting bp meds. I use lisinopril and amlodopine. Having said that, I finally quit orals because they were too hard on bp. At some point, they just aren't worth it any more and you may be reaching that point.

There are a lot of OTC supps that can help with bp to a certain extent. They may or may not be enough to control it for you. There's a pretty good laundry list of them and I tried them all before I finally threw in the towel and went the rx route. Even daily cialis only helped a couple of points.

Yeah.. that's why I am asking about it, I don't really feel my BP is bad enough to warrant taking meds for it. The exact reading was 134/90. I had a visit to the ER a couple months ago right after leaving the gym where it was elevated to 140/110... so I guess there is a "history". But half my problem with my BP being more elevated at the DR office than at home is anxiety.. being there just makes me nervous, My pulse is always 100+ when there.

I'm using Bystolic

Best BP med I've ever used and I've been on many for decades. Lisinopril is mild comparatively.

You sound like you are in the same boat I’m in with BP and weight when I’m at dr office it’s always higher. I’m on 20mg of lisinopril and the only thing I noticed is my sinuses run a little more at night. Overall it’s a good choice.

Yep, my bp is always off the scale in the dr. office. They know it too. People come in with "white coat syndrome" and are freaked out. I joke right back with them and tell them it's because they're always wanting to jab me, suck blood, etc. I do think they are jumping the gun with you though. Mine ran at 160/110 and it was that way for probably about 7-10yrs before they ever started pushing me towards meds. I wish they'd pushed me sooner and I wish I hadn't listened to the negative "bp meds are for life" speeches I got from "loved ones". I was heading for a major catastrophe when I finally told the doc they better give me something. Of course that was after me trying everything under the sun to lower it myself...I even dropped ALL sodium for like 3 months and it was still sky high. That was a shitty 3 month diet. Dropped a lot of weight though.

Seriously though, unless 130/90 is a low reading for you and everything else is higher, it's probably a little early yet. You can probably get by with otc supps, lowering sodium, etc. If you have a family history of high bp though, it is something you want to pay attention to and stay on top of. And don't let people tell you negative stuff about "being on meds for life". Better that than the alternative.

BP is always higher in the D R s Office..
Scales are heavy in women locker rooms and lighter in men's

I would tighten up diet to exclude extra salt, eating out and slightly bump cardio..strawberries and some other natural remedies help drop a few points..possibly drop some weight..

If you're still looking to use SD...I would keep the dose down to ten mgs and only as a pre-WO..daily use will screw with you, even injectable..

Lisinopril gave me a dry cough while falling asleep / sleeping . Switched to losartan. It’s fine

I use ramipril when it gets a wee bit out of my comfort range. Look at “linsinopil” (as my brother calls it) and ramipril studies. Way less problems with ramipril but the other gets prescribed way more for some reason.

Look at telmesartan. It's an ARB that we should all be taking, at least while blasting the shit we do

Healthy BP is now considered to be below 120/80. I ignored my BP for several years and ended up with a chronic condition. Not good, but I got lucky and recovered for the most part. Lisinopril, which has pro-renal properties, helps keep it around 110/72. Yes, it can result in a dry cough, but it's manageable.

I tried low-dose TRT, but it sent my BP soaring. Hell, coffee sends it soaring. Upping the Lisinopril didn't help. I don't think you can use medication as a prophylactic. If something is abusing your health, I don't think you can work around it. You have stop what's causing the abuse.

$$$ to Dr.s

Lisinopril is very cheap, like $1.50 for a 30 day supply with insurance, $25 without. Yeah big bucks for doctors, they own all the pharmaceutical companies and bp medicine is a conspiracy.

I have been on lisinopril for like 8 years . When I don’t take it and not in gear , my bp will b 180/140 at dr office . When I get home and check it considerably lower . I’ve been watching it (bp) the last 4 months while I was on test, tren, EQ an anadrol . Periodically check it and typically the worst it is 150/90 and that’s right when I set down . If I wait another 30 seconds it drops to 130/78. Your bp numbers (if they were mine) I would not b taking any bp meds !!! Typically mine is only really high at there office ( as was stated , white cost syndrome) . But if I do check it and it’s hi, I will go on my lisinipril for a few weeks , it does control the bp and I don’t notice anything else from it .
