I’m still gonna be doing cardio and working my left shoulder and arm, juzt please say a word off support to me I hate surgery I’m 55 and I want it fixed before it gets worse thanks yall

Hope things go well for you! Heal up

You know I am here and am wishing you a kick ass , fast recovery. I know it will be mentally tough and you may feel dirty sometimes with the damn pillow & sling. I always tell everyone to get the full body aloe clean wipes (full body size) . Best thing you can do is stay positive and realize the first three days post-op “SUCK” and is painful and fuzzy! Hate it . Keep your hormone levels good and get yourself someone to hang out and help, if not. Definitely set the house up with everything super easy and buy a few new Pimp Robes! God bless

Best of luck and speedy recovery! Make sure you have stuff on hand to keep yourself occupied after surgery. Video games, books, movies, something.

Good luck

Taking any suppz/peptides to heal faster?

Surgeons will do things to create the best outcome….for them. Not always but usually I think. Not sure how into your physique you are but if aesthetics arent important, moving the biceps tendon down can be done to appear normal…on a normal person.

I had my labrum reattached from a 3/4 detachment in 2008. I specifically sought out a surgeon who treated athletes and a good part of his practice was SF Bay Area pro baseballers. He mentioned that he may have to reattach the tendon and said he would do it the best possible was aestetically. I made it clear that I may return to bodybuilding competition. My biceps are one of my strongest bodyparts so it would be very noticeable.
With that in mind, he did not move the tendon and found a workaround. He did a fantastic job.

Recently I had the same shoulder reassessed in hopes it would reduce pain and stop the asymmetry that is getting worse. The MRI concluded more labral tearing, full thickness-partial width tear of supraspinatus, moderate grade articular side tearing of the infraspinatus, anterosuperior and superior labral tearing and a bunch of other shit.
What does this mean? The surgeon stated that surgery would correct this but NOT improve stability nor mobility. My strength, ROM and stability are still quite good, albeit painful.
So even though my shoulder kills me at times and always hurts, surgery aint going to help.

Just food for thought, man.

However it goes, I wish you luck. And DO the PT!

Brother thanks a lot man I knew you’d help me out slot !!! Ill keep in touch with you snd let you know how it’s goes

The surgery will take a couple of hours. That's the easy part.

The rehabilitation will take months...show patience. Don't be over zealous and follow the doctor's protocol.

Challenge yourself but don't be aggressive.

It can take a full 9 months before it feels "normal" to you.

I always think about surgery and the worst part would be not being able to lift for a bit. Good luck and I hope its a speedy recovery. Get some legit TB500 and BP157 for a much, much faster recovery.

Wow. Hey man. Been reading through a bunch of stuff for weeks now! I had my last surgery on June 10th. It was pretty major, I actually almost died. Woops! So I’ve basically been reading a ton of different forums and using a contact over in China for some recovery fuel I started taking a few weeks ago. I really just hope it is what they say. Blue capped lyo powder, sworn each one is 10iu. But it’s been quite a few years since I’d searched for anything like that so all I can do is 🙏🏼.
Anyway man! I didn’t mean to go on a rant cause you’re in a serious situation that I really hope goes well for you. Interestingly enough that’s actually why I decided you’d be the first I talked to on one of these forums that I recently started looking for again. Lifestyle change! Haha! And I’m sure you know all about that at this point! So anyway man. Our surgeries were quite different physically but also quite similar in some emotional and trauma experience type of ways. So Bullseye, please get well with the speediest of recoveries. Cause it sounds very much like you deserve the best of recoveries! 🙏

Him or me? 🤔 😆 I would assume me cause “tear out your asshole” haha! I made a really bad last second decision while landing my sport canopy after an amazing skydive. 🤷🏽*♂️ “Bad choice, bad choice, bad choice” So the next time will NOT include that decision again. Anyway, I should probably start a thread to talk about it somewhere. Could be here. Cause so far “tear out your asshole” was hilarious! And Bulldog sounds like he definitely deserves a solid surgeon and the best outcome possible. After that, I would love for his recovery to be stellar. Good luck with that Bulldog!!

Thanks man,i had the same type surgery on my right shoulder in 2011 I got the injury from working out in the gym both times ,this time though the tear is not bad but I want it fixed before it gets that way because I’m 55 ans not getting any younger and I wanna keep lifting

Good luck

Injuries suck..but as we age..we have to change how we train..I nearly had neck surgery last yr for nerve damage..but the Dr.s kept dicking me around about recovery..80% one day..then 60%..you will still have pain..8 months in a Halo..No,not doing it and still have pain..So 3x a wk at PT,and 80% better now..
Some choices are hard..just have to wiegh them out..I will pray for you Brother..fast..but safe recovery..We tend to want to jump back into it to soon.. Don't..!!
Take that needed time to fully recover, then ease back into it..

I was off the Iron for 3 long yrs..it sucked..
You need anything at all..you have my info.. don't hesitate to ask..

One thing about this forum that's different...We help our members in need..!

I had this done 18 months ago. Doc said it would take better part of a year to get back to normal. My bicep looks great, better peak than the other side. Depending on where they attach it it can take longer. I had my right reattached to the bone and my left piggybacks on the other bicep (you do have two) The one attached to the other tendon isn’t as strong, but healed quicker.
Good luck, you’ll do fine.

The fact that it worked on your other arm 10 years ago is very encouraging! You’re going to come out of this like a new man. 👍
