    MonsterMakers Log

    Alright decided to pull the trigger and get a log going, mainly to help keep me accountable and motivated.

    Little background: Iíve been lifting on and off natty for about 15 years with some multiple year breaks in there. Iíve always been extremely nervous to gain any fat so never consumed enough calories to really grow (or get strong) over those years and ended up just being at this standstill the entire time where I had lots of definition but a was rather skinny at the same time. Kind of a skinny athletic look, something Iíd liken to a basketball player. I took a three year break from fitness and dieting all together and ended up gaining about 50-60 lbs of fat. I spent somewhere between 6-7 months cutting to get rid of that and that brings me to where Iím at now. Now Iím ready to put on some mass and Iím eating like crazy. Calories keep going up.

    Im currently doing a push/pull/leg split with no cardio. Was doing full body before that (im sure you all remember that). Im extremely open and receptive to new ideas and criticism and encourage anyone here to throw anything helpful my way. I was never really dedicated to bodybuilding, just halfass mindful of how I looked, never determined to summon the inner beast, like I am now. I really want to push my limits here and see what my body is capable of transforming into with the proper diet, routine and of course the right gear.

    My diet is fairly clean I posted a pic of a typical day for me. Not afraid to consume carbs anymore but still struggling to get as many in as I should be. Itís usually between 200-300Gs carbs. Protein is probably too high, usually over 300Gs. Again very open to suggestions on ways to improve.

    Cycle:

    Been running test 500mgs/wk since 5/10 and Dbol 50mgs daily since 6/4 Nolva 10mg daily throughout the entire thing.

    Good on you for putting it all out there.

    Diet is not great but not horrible.

    Two things, get rid of the Skippy and buy natural peanut butter and substitute complex carbs with starchy carbs.

    I did hear ya say that in the other thread and today was actually the first day I tried to incorporate some Italian bread instead of my usual whole grain stuff. Does that count as a starchy carb? Thought Iíd ease into that transition instead of just completely outing my complex carbs.

    Mind me asking what exactly makes them (starchy carbs) superior?

    Also mind giving me some examples of good foods that would help me get to em in?

    Pull/push/legs rather but for:

    pull days:

    Iíve been doing dumbbell rows, lat pull down, bent rows, hammer curls, regular curls,shrugs

    Push days: incline,decline, flat Bench (barbell to start, dumbbell to burnout), close grip bench, DB flys, decline dumbbell tricep extensions, Dips,

    Letís: rack pulls (not sure if this is better for leg day or pull day) squats, dumbbell lungesÖ

    Not sure where to put military press either, Iím assuming it should be with push day?

    I know my routine needs work and I would love if you guys to tweak it for me.
