    Use of the scale...

    So I am planning to recomp March, April, and May. Get the weight down and look better for the summer.

    In the past, I would weigh myself once a day, sometimes twice. Was a little obsessive but it allowed me to keep track of any extra weight gain. If I found I was up a pound or two? I would tighten up my diet and that was that.

    I got away from this and used the mirror as a judge mostly. Clothes all still fit, etc. And I had an idea of what I thought I was at, which was 240.

    Well, for the recomp I needed to know my baseline....got on the scale and fuck I was 252. I had no idea I was pushing the needle that high.

    While the scale isn't the only thing to consider (measuring bf% is better), I think it's important not to let it get away from you.

    As it did for me. I have some work to do.

    Everyone weighing themselves and monitoring every day? week?

    Every morning after my wake up routine. Then write it on the calendar and look at the previous days macros, meals, cardio/training time, sleep, etc.

    Feel that it really helps keep me accountable for everything.

    Use of the scale...

    First thing in the morning-
    wake up, piss, shit, strip down naked, weigh myself, record it.

    I do it like that because through the coarse of the day my weight will fluctuate by about 5 lbs. I find morning gives me the best baseline.

    Every day, when I wake up. Sometimes thatin the morning and some days in the afternoon because I work nights and will save my meals to eat while am working. Then I'll go and sleep till the afternoon and weigh myself after using the bathroom.

    I try not to weigh myself everyday if Iím cutting because Iíll end up getting in my own head. If you eat more sodium or donít take a shit the day before or chug a bunch of water the night before or something it can throw your weight way off, like 5 lbs sometimes. In my opinion weekly weight ins and pictures are the way to go. It keeps me more consistent and less likely to question my calorie intake.

    Exactly this. Wake up, piss, weigh. Pics once a week after a good workout (ie, not leg day).
