2020 Mr. Olympia: Complete Results And Prize Money For All Divisions

The 2020 Mr. Olympia took place this weekend, as the top bodybuilders in the world came out to Orlando, Florida to prove themselves to be the best in the world. This is the full results from the entire competition, after everyone finished taking the stage.

While most years the Mr. Olympia goes down in the fall, the current situation in the world forced the event to be moved to December. As if that was not enough for the officials to deal with, with just about six weeks to go until the show, they had to move it across the country, from its normal home in Las Vegas, to Orlando. Nevertheless the contest rolled on, and virtually all of the top bodybuilders in the world showed up to prove that this year would not be holding them down.

The bulk of the 2020 Mr. Olympia took place on Friday and Saturday, with the final results taking place Saturday evening. After two long days of competition, we have some new champions and some others defending their thrones. These are the results from the entire weekend’s competition.

Mr. Olympia 2020: Men’s Open Bodybuilding
The Men’s Open is the most anticipated division of the Olympia under any circumstances, but this year the excitement for this contest was amplified big time. This was largely due to the return of seven-time champion Phil Heath, as he looked to get his 8th title and tie for the most wins in the contest’s history. Standing in his way was 2019 champ Brandon Curry, who won the show in Phil’s absence last year, after Shawn Rhoden was ruled ineligible to compete.

The callouts on Friday evening showed just how many extremely talented athletes there were contesting for the Mr. Olympia throne. In the end however, the winner and 2020 Mr. Olympia turned out to be Big Ramy, who shocked the judges with his massively improved conditioning and physique. Following closely behind him was now former champ Brandon Curry in second place, while in third was seven-time Olympia champ Phil Heath.

Results and Prize Money
1. Big Ramy, $400,000
2. Brandon Curry, $150,000
3. Phil Heath, $100,000
4. Hadi Choopan, $45,000
5. William Bonac, $40,000

212 Olympia
The 212 Division of the 2020 Mr. Olympia was filed with a lot of intriguing matchups. Kamal Elgargni won the contest in 2019, but that was after longtime champ Flex Lewis decided to lead the division in favor for the Open. So he came into this contest with something of a chip on his shoulder, looking to prove himself the deserving champion.

During Friday’s prejudging, it was clear that Kamal was in great shape, but so was the rest of the competition. In the end, it was Shaun Clarida who ascended to the next level and dethroned the champ to become the 212 Olympia champ. Elgargni would end the contest in second, just a tick below Shaun’s overall physique. In third was George Peterson, who had shown himself to be wildly improved this year.

Results and Prize Money
1. Shaun Clarida, $50,000
2. Kamal Elgargni, $20,000
3. George Peterson, $10,000
4. Derek Lunsford, $6,000
5. Ahmad Ashkanani, $4,000

Classic Physique Olympia
One of the newer divisions to appear in the Olympia, the Classic Physique division has offered a lot to this year’s contest. This is largely due to the heated rivalry between current champ Chris Bumstead, and two-time former champ Breon Ansley. These two have been at each other’s throats for months, and it all boiled down to this contest.

While there were a lot of other athletes who proved themselves worthy of praise at the prejudging, the story was who would win between Ansley and Bumstead. In the end, Chris Bumstead would take the first place prize, retaining his Classic Physique Olympia title for the second straight year. In another razor close decision Terence Ruffin came in a surprising second, while former champ Breon Ansley ended in third.

Results and Prize Money
1. Chris Bumstead, $30,000
2. Terrence Ruffin, $10,000
3. Breon Ansley, $5,000
4. Alex Cambronero, $3000
5. Bryan Jones, $2000

Men’s Physique Olympia
The Men’s Physique division is one of the most aesthetically pleasing divisions in all of the Olympia. These athletes put an intense focus on their upper body, over their legs, and few have been a better example of this than reigning champ Raymont Edmonds. In the lead-up to this contest, he continued to look at his best, and it made people think he would be incapable of being beaten.

Nobody would let Edmonds get this win without a fight though, as everyone who competed came in great shape. When the Olympia was over though, Brandon Hendrickson walked away with the first place victory, regaining the title he last held in 2018. Following closely behind him. now former champ Raymont Edmonds pulled off a close second place finish, with Kyron Holden ending the day in a strong third.

Results and Prize Money
1. Brandon Hendrickson, $35,000
2. Raymont Edmonds, $12,000
3. Kyron Holden, $8000
4. Jeremy Potvin, $4000

Ms. Olympia Olympia
Another aspect of this year’s attention that was drawing a ton of excitement was the return of the Ms. Olympia competition. This female bodybuilding showcase had been missing since 2014, but was finally returning to the biggest stage in the sport. It was expected that former ten-time champ Iris Kyle would be coming out of retirement to compete at this big show, but she would ultimately fall ill on the day of the prejudging, failing to make it to the stage.

However the women who did compete were incredible, as the likes of Helle Trevino and Andrea Shaw went head to head on the stage. At the end of the day, Shaw came out on top, winning the 2020 Ms. Olympia, on her birthday no less. Margie Martin did not make it easy though, coming in a close and surprising second place, while Helle Trevino finished the contest in third. It was a crazy sight to see, and one the made it clear that these ladies deserved to be there.

Results and Prize Money
1. Andrea Shaw, $50,000
2. Margie Martin, $20,000
3. Helle Trevino, $12,000
4. MayLa Ash, $7000
5. Irene Anderson, $6000

Bikini Olympia
The Bikini Division of the 2020 Mr. Olympia had more athletes taking the stage than any other division, with a whopping 40 athletes competing. This just goes to show how popular this division is among female athletes. Coming in on top, and looking to earn her second straight win is Elisa Pecini, who amazed everyone with her win in 2019.

Obviously with so many athletes, this was not an easy ask for Pecini, with the judges having to wade through a to of talented athletes to decided the victor. Ultimately Janet Layug would arise in first place, making enough improvements to finally win the contest. Coming in second was Jennifer Dorie, who brought a solid package to the stage. Bringing up the third place position was Etilia Santiago Santos, who make a good account of herself during the contest.

Results & Prize Money
1. Janet Layug, $50,000
2. Jennifer Dorie, $20,000
3. Etila Santiago Santos, $12,000
4. Angelica Teixeira, $7,000
5. Lauralie Chapados, $6,000

Figure Olympia
The Figure Division has had some pretty incredible showings over the years, and the 2020 Mr. Olympia proved no different. Heading into the contest, the thought was that Cydney Gillon would be able to continue the dominant reign that she has been on. Riding three consecutive wins on the big stage, there appeared to be nobody who could stop her.

This would prove true in the end too, as Cydney Gillon won the title of Ms. Figure Olympia for the fourth time. That being said, things were close, as Natalia Soltero put up a great fight to land in second place, after bringing a complete package to the stage. Also looking strong was Nadia Wyatt, who rounded out the top three with a solid physique.

Results & Prize Money
1. Cydney Gillon, $50,000
2. Natalia Soltero, $20,000
3. Nadia Wyatt, $12,000
4. Nicole Zenobia Graham, $7000
5. Latorya Watts, $6000

Women’s Physique Olympia
Another popular division in the Olympia, the Women’s Physique division is always an entertaining one. Coming into this year’s event, Shanique Grant was expected to run over the competition like she had been doing. Having won the previous two years, and she was expected to have similar success this weekend.

For the most part this proved true, but in a surprising turn of events, Sarah Villegas would break through in a big way, winning the 2020 Women’s Physique Olympia. This put Shanique Grant in a decent second place, still looking quite good. In third was Natalia Abraham Coelho, with a well rounded package, and strong performance.

Results & Prize Money
1. Sarah Villegas, $40,000
2. Shanique Grant, $18,000
3. Natalia Abraham Coelho, $12,000
4. Barbra Menage, $6,000

Fitness Olympia
The Fitness Division is always one of the most fun to watch at the Olympia. A big part of the judging for this division comes down to the aerobics routine that the ladies perform, as opposed to just posing. The big storyline here was if returning champ Oksana Grishina could get her title back against defending champ Whitney Jones, who had been looking great herself lately.

However to the shock of many, and after a bit of confusion, it was Missy Trescoutt who put it all together to win the Ms. Fitness Olympia title. Grishina was originally announced as the winner, but it was later revealed that a scoring mishap had her actually in second place. Coming in third place this year, was the now former champ Whitney Jones.

Results & Prize Money
1. Missy Truscott, $50,000
2. Oksana Grishina, $20,000
3. Whitney Jones, $12,000
4. Ariel Khadr, $7,000
