    Seems the general consensus amongst most coaches is walking. Doesn't impact the legs as hard as the stairmaster, especially during prep.

    I personally like the step mill, but I go back and forth between incline treadmill and step mill. Depends on how fatigued I am that day, how long since I worked legs, etc.

    What's the BEST Cardio to Preserve Muscle?

    I like walk-sprints or stepmill slow, longer sessions {if possible}. If on a treadmill, I pick Interval or fat-burn on incline. You can do a weight training cardio too.

    I hate cardio but since I workout at my home gym and work from home... I guess I gotta walk the long way to the fridge to make up for it.
