Hump Day! Also Day 5 of the prednisone journey. On the good side. Pain in minimal. But sleeping is a bit difficult. Also I'm urinating like a racehorse, especially in the evening and night time. Thankfully no other side effects to report. I'll be jumping back onto Meloxicam next week as my...
I couldn't agree more. On the other hand, some of the things I did in the gym and in the field, I wouldn't give up for the world. Body is a little beat up now bit no regrets. One day at time. The pains of living a full life, now another journey to keep it all together.
Good morning. Beginning day 3 of the methylprednisolone cycle. Over the weekend I experienced minor headaches but not quite sure if they are related to the med or my crazy allergies. One significant side effect has been some insomnia. Not horrible but enough to wreck part of my night...
Great information. I appreciate it. I was on Meloxicam before surgery but they took me off as it might inhibit my healing process. I'm about ready to get back on it this week. The Gabapentin sounds interesting as well. I will ask my doctor. I appreciate your input.
Yes you do. I know doctors and clinics are a pain. I am not a fan of hospitals either but we what we do to stay in the game. I'm hopeful that you have good doctors to help you along. Sometimes it gets a little dark but that's when you have to be even more strong. Best of luck brother...
I totally understand. I've done cortisone in my shoulders before and it helped until I had my surgeries completed. All my major joints are level 4 arthritis. I've been able to get through it until the diagnosis of my neck earlier this year. Arthritis is a real PIA for sure.
I'm a bit new to understanding the application of Deca. I'm assuming that you have to cycle it as you administer it. I'd like to hear more about this. Thanks
I can dig it. Always have to keep pushing. The last 2 years have been horrible but I'm still in the fight. If I can just get over this Hump I can return full time to the gym. Plus I have 2 huge German Shepherds that never let me stop moving. Good luck to you Stay strong.
Sorry to hear that. 3 fusions sounds extremely difficult. I'm trying to remain hopeful. Between my severe arthritis and stenosis I have a battle to deal with. The spinal issues have definitely been the worse of the mix. Multiple shoulder surgeries over the years. One knee and elbow just...
Thank for the information. I figured it prescribed to me as a short term fix to relieve my pain while I get more tests completed and begin PT. I am hopeful that we can find the true cause and address the true issue without meds and avoid more surgery. I'm really tired of going under the...
Thanks for your reply. I'm on day 2. Hard to tell if I'm going to respond poorly. I did have a crappy night of sleep last night. No fatigue or dizziness but I'll stay aware as I move forward.
Hi everyone. Big thanks to everyone who supported me during my neck fusion surgery in April 2023. It was a fusion of my C5-C6. For the most part it was a success. All of the pain and numbness in my right and arm disappeared. I also had horrible pain in my trap which also disappeared...
30+ years retired from state and federal government. Financial management career
Currently in rehab from a c5-c6 neck fusion so I I am semi-retired until I'm done healing and the next gig comes around. Hanging out in our house chilling with our German Shepherds!
My mistake. I meant to post this in my recovery log and I posted in my other thread.
Friday. Day 8. Still progressing forward. Major mistake in logging too much walking earlier this week. Tapering down to one walk per day at around 1.25 miles.
Posting my supplement stack for my recovery...
