I was always told that the Geneva convention adopted .223 and 5.56 for war because it is “more humane” and take 2 soldiers out of the war… the injured and the one required to check the injured into medical….

I’m an atheist, bible stories bear no relevance to me.
How about we just enjoy our 2nd amendment freedom guaranteed by the constitution, just like our first amendment rights.
 
The 9 firearms I own (2 of them AR-15's) won't be going anywhere, anytime soon.
Got enough ammo for a decade too.

Just answering your question. You specifically asked about the Bible in reference to weapons for self-defense.
Religion is a corruption & imitation of God & God's word. Sounds like you have been deceived into believing a lie, because of your exposure to the corruption of organized religion. This is common.

If, for your entire life since birth, everyone who offered you a drink of water, actually gave you piss in a cup instead, you would probably feel the same way about water.
You are rejecting something you have never actually experienced; you have only been deceived into thinking you have experienced/witnessed Christianity.

Most things LABELED "Christian" are the opposite.
