I smoked for 21 years, 2 packs a day. This November it will be 20 years ago that I quit. My advice is to focus on all the negatives. Don't think to yourself I wish I could have one or envy coworkers smoking. Focus on what a disgusting habit it is, and you are free. Smelly breath, stinky fingers, whole house smelling like an ashtray, cigarette stained clothes, furniture and light colored curtains. Look at ashtrays filled with butts in disgust. Laugh at the people that huddle outside in bad weather at smoke breaks getting their fix...... and proudly think I AM FREE of this addiction. Not to mention how much money you will save! And most important, no matter how long you quit for don't dupe yourself into thinking you could smoke 'just one' without issue. You'll be back to regular smoking in a matter of days
